  1. I agree, reported it last year, but no response.
  2. Agree with this statement. With our camera, we can select the visual for our own property. Maybe you can ask them if they can kindly exclude your property. A polite conversation can go a long way.
  3. We received a water bill that was 10 times the usage of last year. I just took a meter reading, and a picture as proof and they were waaay out. Trying to get it sorted online, but as you know with Thames Water these things take time.
  4. By responding to their knocks or bang on the door. If you give it energy, they will remember you and probably repeatedly knock on you.
  5. While it can be frightening, I don't think it's anything more sinister than a game. If you don't give it energy, they won't come back.
  6. A few weeks ago, we had a loud kick to our door. We caught the kids on our doorbell. We went out to look around, and they had smashed the glass at a neighbour's door. Our neighbours passed the images to the police, but they were not interested. I believe it was completely random, though, and probably a game to them, not realising how it can disturb their victims.
  7. 4 black kids. 3 boys one of them secondary school age, 2 primary and one girl primary school age and has a very distinctive jumper or jacket around her waste (as per the picture). One of the boys had a bright blue head scarf or cap. They have just kicked our door & smashed the glass in another another round Ryedale/Forest Hill Road area. Reports from our street group says also done on Dunstan's Road so clearly local. If you recognise the jacket please let their parents know.
  8. We had a leaflet dropped through our door in relation to this a few weeks ago. Assume the profits from Gala helped make this happen.
  9. Hi, there is the Honor Oak Baptist Church nearby that may have availability https://www.hobc.org.uk/hall-lets/
  10. Polished or Pro Beauty Clinic, both do nails and waxing.
  11. I've never tried vegan black pudding.. i'll have to seek that out! I ended up making it myself, a recipe from bbc good food. It took 2 hours in total, but was pretty good. I used to eat it years ago, when I was non veggie. It's a bit earthy for my liking.
  12. Same, lots of the meat version, but veggie is elusive. I've found a decent looking recipe. Cooking is not my forte, but best endeavours count.
  13. I tried them both last week & yesterday. It is like looking for one on the moors.
  14. Is anyone aware of anywhere selling vegetarian haggis? I've been looking for weeks & even tried online, but none available 🙄
  15. Georgian wines are crazy cheap. At least in Georgia they are, and very tasty. You would expect nothing more from the first wine makers.
  16. I'm still trying to figure out what the upside down blue triangle is with white lines coming out of the top? It's been there the last few years & I have no idea. Answers on a postcard...
  17. There is the remainder of the Rye that is still open and the rest of the park, so as far as open spaces go there is no lack of it. Maybe it is a profit making venture for the council but Gala don't have to raise money for charity, we don't get the same offers from the circus or the fare.
  18. I'm not questioning your point on privitasation of public spaces but I am very local (2 streets away). I go most years & tend to see lots of people from the neighbourhood, there are also people that come from all over the UK and not just young. It is a very diverse and inclusive festival who also raise funds for local charities and on one of the days support local bands.
  19. I hear you Malumbu. I was driving along Brenchley yesterday, some idiot driver coming in the other direction was trying to overtake cyclists even though my side of the road wasn't clear. I don't think narrowed roads has improved the safety issue.
  20. Of course you would have to pay for a skip. You don't own it, it is a service being offered to you. Same as a secure bike hangar, but I can park my bike for free on a bike loop. People who own cars pay road tax, its the local level where the money gets spent on road surface repairs on country and urban roads. Similarly, it also contributes to the building of new roads, but also larger urban projects that benefit road users, like car parks and restructuring city roads. The fact the money gets swallowed up by other budgets is not the road users issue. It is to be argued by the council.
  21. Kwikfit for me. They have a range of options. It is cheaper to buy your tyre online and book in the replacement.
  22. We used https://www.penniblack.co.uk/ for a recent party, they also help serve drinks and canapes. We also hired https://www.threepiecebar.co.uk/ they bring their own mobile bar and name your own cocktail list.
  23. I don't mind wagas, it's the endless pizza joints & nail bars taking over.
  24. I find it hilarious that people accept Gails, but when Pret were opening there was a bit of a drama around it saying we should support our locals...
  25. What a waste of money, employing someone who sits in their van (probably in the ticket zone) when they could just install cameras....
