  1. Some barely used but don't want to chuck them out. Do you know if charity shops will take?
  2. Thanks for the responses all. I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to follow baby whisperer. I mean we can mostly do EASY but she will only sleep for 30 mins at a time unless I carry her round in sling - not fun in heat.. Even if I lie down with her she will wake after 30 mins and won't go back to sleep. Plus every single night without fail she ends up in our bed as I fall asleep when feeding and can't muster the energy to put back. I don't massively want to co sleep but seem to be doing it anyway! Think I'm becoming slightly obsessed by it all. Is it too early in the day to have a G&T??
  3. I'd just be interested in hearing peoples' experiences on when they started to introduce a bedtime / napping routine for their babies. Being a control freak sort of person I'd like to have some sort of routine for my 7 week old but am not sure whether its too early for that sort of thing. Not very good at just going with the flow!
  4. Sainsbury's at New Cross had the fans behind the customer service counter yesterday and were restricting them to one per customer!!
  5. Thanks BB. I was thinking growth spurt but then she doesn't seem to want to feed more - still every 3 hours or so
  6. This is kind of related to this thread. I know that I'm being totally ridiculous as my baby is only 6 weeks old but until last week she was an amazing sleeper during her short life. She would nap in moses basket and sleep in there at night after feeds. For past week this has all gone to pot. She will only nap for 30 mins at a time and on me. This is exhausting for her and me - by 6.30 she's beside herself for lack of sleep. She won't go down at night in basket either so have been having her in our bed. WHilst I'm not anti co- sleeping it's definitely not something I want to do in the medium / long term. I'm quite a control freak so even if people tell me I need to relax and go with the flow etc, it's not something that's in my nature to do! Is there a period around 6 weeks when there's massive development that will be causing this change. Again I know that at 6 weeks, no 2 days are the same but the control freak in me takes over!
  7. Can I pick Forumites' brains on where to go mid-end September with a 3 yo and a 3 mo. Requirements are: - warmish 25 degrees type heat - not more than 3 hours flight - nice beaches but with other stuff to do too - not high rise resort type place Was thinking maybe Sardinia / corsica but don't know anyone who's been!
  8. I always wonder how you don't feed a baby to sleep!
  9. I'm sure this has been asked before but where locally can I get passport photos done for a baby? Many thanks
  10. I was going to ask (and sorry to slightly hijack the thread) for similar suggestions for Greek islands in September. We're looking for a really easy holiday with a 3 yo and a 3 month old. Baby friendly boltholes have some villas in Crete.

  15. The one in honor oak park or on tell grove? If former happy to recommend!
  16. Anyone any ideas what to do with used but good condition cot / moses basket mattresses? I know that you're supposed to use a different mattress for each child but it seems a waste to throw them away!
  17. I'm keen to meet and pretty flexible next week, with or without toddler in tow! He's at nursery Wednesday to Friday.
  18. Hi ladies Hope you're all well. Just wondered if you're still interested in meeting up?

  24. I was under the impression that the vaccine wouldn't offer you full protection but that you'd get a far milder form of the illness and wouldn't have the nasty side effects associated with the virus eg encephalitis. I'm sorry but those blogs posted by te44 look like opinions founded on belief rather than facts
