We can?t stop them from going in the house, but we slather the feeder pole with Vaseline then sit back and watch them slide down repeatedly 😀
  4. Without wanting to brag, we?re getting loads of small and larger birds visiting our feeding stations: Great, blue, coal and long-tailed tits Goldfinches Sparrows Robins Greater spotted woodpecker Starlings Jay Magpies Parakeets Wrens We?ve got high quality suet (not balls), peanuts and niger seeds in feeders on a very tall pole positioned next to tall shrubs that the small birds use on approach. We also have a wooden bird house feeder for the large birds that we put suet in. We?re in The Gardens, btw. Hope that helps!
  5. We're a local business selling fun craft products using video on social media where we have a large Facebook following of over a million fans and followers. We've had a fun and original idea for a gender reveal video so we're looking for local parents who know the gender of their baby and would like to announce the gender to family and friends in a really original and interesting way. In return for taking part, there'll be free fizz for your guests, a unique keepsake and a video memory of a really special moment. I can reveal more if you PM me!
  6. New favourite is this amazing place in Copeland Park. Well tucked away, but so worth finding. http://kanpai.london/ Downstairs they brew stunning, award-winning sake and upstairs they have a tap room where you can sample the freshest sake you?ll ever taste in this country. We also tried a gorgeous sake-based cocktail. You can slurp some of their Barman?s Ramen while you drink. Only open at the weekend, but an absolute gem!
  7. Head to the very corner of The Gardens, No 17, if you?re nearby or on your way to Aneto 😀
  8. We are a small local company specialising in lifecasting and are looking for a family of four to take part in a short video showing them having their hands cast. The perfect age for your children would be between 4 and 12 and if you had a particularly confident chatty child that would be wonderful! We would come to you at home to carry out the casting and filming. The casting is good fun and you would end up with a lovely handcast like that shown in the attachment. If this sounds of interest, please get in touch: Thanks Alison [email protected]
  9. Batch is a great bar - you get a free glass of prosecco on arrival, Phil is passionate about his back bar, great cocktails and music. And love the fact that they provide plates and cutlery for you when you bring in your own food. We had a delicious takeout from Banh Banh just a couple of doors down. Highly recommended!
  10. Part Time Admin Role in Brockley ? Planning, Logistics, Customer Services We are a small but growing creative and eCommerce business based in Brockley who are looking for some part time assistance for our Commercial Director as we expand into the US later this year. The role would suit somebody with strong organisational skills from an administrative or operational background which could include marketing or events planning. Good Excel skills and a head for numbers are a necessity as the role will involve the use of fairly complex workbooks including pivot tables. The role is likely to evolve over time, but initially will involve: ? analysing stock levels and requirements ? sourcing suppliers for stock ? ordering stock and ensuring delivery deadlines are met ? liaising with contract packers to co-ordinate product assembly ? assisting with planning for international expansion ? assisting with customer services The person we are looking for should be calm under pressure, a solution finder, confident and resourceful. We?re a small, close team, so are looking for someone who is happy to muck in and help other members of the team as and when required. Hours will be very flexible; we are happy to work around the school run, holidays etc but with the US launch scheduled for the summer, hours are likely to increase in June and the first half of July. For more details or to submit your CV, please email Alison Martin at [email protected]
  11. Definitely redwings - and a large flock. They?re still around (we?re in The Gardens) and looking resplendent in the sunshine! What a treat.
  12. We're a local business who are looking for a local family who would like to take part in filming for our very successful Facebook page which has over a million followers. We are looking for a family of up to 8 including grandparent(s), parent(s) and children aged 5 to 15. The filming will involve having all of your hands cast together to create a lovely family sculpture, see attached. The filming should only take about an hour, but we are looking for availability this week. Please PM me if this is of interest.
  13. We're a local business who are looking for two female best friends aged between 8 and 11 years old to take part in 2-3 hours of filming for a Facebook advert for a home hand-casting kit. We have over a million followers on Facebook, so it might be a good opportunity for children who are interested in drama or performing. The little film will be about friendship and filming will involve the girls talking about their friendship and casting their hands together in a pot of moulding gel. We are hoping to film next Monday in or around East Dulwich. Please PM me for more details if this might be of interest. ~Alison
  14. You should come and sit in my garden as the light fades. We have a little bat visitor every year... Saw him tonight at about 10pm Nigello Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Where was the bat? I have yet to see one anywhere > in and around SE22/15/21 but would love to.
  15. We've just had a huge swarm of bees descend in our garden. They've now moved on to a neighbour's garden where they've quickly formed a clump on top of a fir hedge. Would this be of interest to local beekeepers? They're located in a garden on Oakhurst Grove.
  16. We've just switched to YouView (BT), but we don't really use catch up or any of the BT TV features. Cut our costs from ?28 per month with Virgin to ?5 a month with BT. We already had a hub as we have BT infinity...
  17. Sussex Weald - no distance and good walking, birding etc. Ashdown Forest is a treat for Winnie the Pooh lovers; Bluebell railway is a nostalgic delight. This place is nice: https://www.amberleyhousecottages.co.uk/Sussex/Holiday-cottage/The-Well-House/60463

Best GP surgery I've been with in London.
  19. I'd definitely go for tapas for grazing for a group that size. Salt Yard in Goodge Street is great, and Central.. http://www.saltyard.co.uk/about-us

  22. Hi James I just wondered if you might be able to answer a question about the council installing shared bike racks in residential areas. Is there funding to install more of these in Southwark and if so, how do we go about putting in an application? http://www.cyclehoop.com/rentals/ Thanks
