Public transport in ED..brixton so close but yet so far
dita-on-tees replied to bil's topic in The Lounge
No point having anything like a serious debate with Louisa given she cant read posts.... I said people are forced to move away from their hometowns... not forced to move to Peckham. Big difference. As for gentrification go have a walk down Choumert Road and the surrounding streets then talk with any sincerity about the absence of gentrification. Though I am not sure why you would want gentrification to occur as this pushes out the existing population who can no longer afford to live there. At this stage In the Night Garden makes more sense, so all aboard the Ninky Nonk and lets go to Louisa-land. -

Did you actually read DJKQ's post, what bit is harking back to better times??? Regardless of your background or the poverty that you grew up in, and many of people on this forum grew up in less than privileged circumstance, there is no justification for the fact you are just a rude individual. You slag off the area in which we all live, an area many of us chose to live because it is generally welcoming to "outsiders" (more so than the fancy echelons of Chiswick or the banal recesses of Bromley) and then you slag off peoples hometowns and want to nuke them because they dont look nice. Well sweetheart that's what a post industrial working class area looks like when all of the traditional industries are shut down. Count yourself lucky that you can still live in the area where you grew up and be surrounded by family. Many people from other parts of the UK and from abroad are pretty much forced to move away from their communities to get jobs. This is only likely to increase given the current rhetoric of this government. -

Bromley??? I now know you have to be taking the P. Bland Bland Bland. It has no redeeming features at all, no heart and soul to lose. Ditto the other places you quote. Ever seen a real slum Louisa? Doubt it, if you had I suspect you would use the word with a little more respect. Even if you are just trying to be inflammatory. -
ED pubs not selling traditional bar snacks
dita-on-tees replied to Louisa's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
ahhhhh Pork scratchings. I used to work in a social club where a man used to come round and sell a big bags of proper pork scratching for 50p( you could still see the faint trace of little piggy hairs on some of the scratchings), we also sold pickled eggs served in fairy cake casings (for extra class). Sundays were of course cubes of orange mild cheddar cheese and peanuts on the bar. Crisps were Tudor then the crinkle cut Seabrook crisps. Who could forget the majesty of Frazzles which delivered a bacon-ish taste for at least 3 hours after consumption.... all washed down with Camerons Ruby Red from the local brewery. I dont live in ED, but it does feel that the pubs have become a little uniform and only want to cater for a certain type which is a great shame. -
even dressed as La Cicolina?

I wear red skirts, black stocking and the occasional hat on my days off, does this make me a troll? i would quite like to be forced to eat pies too. *goes off into a corner and contemplates potential trollness...*

I think some of us are simply passing judgement on the information you have provided so far. And so far it just doesnt sound like an interesting article. Journalist goes undercover and posts conservative comments on a forum which people react to in either outrage or agreement. People in forum communities have different opinions and are willing to share them. Its not exactly an expose on the sex traffiking trade now is it. There is something of interest in the role of the online personae (and for the record I am indeed a cheaper, more vulgar downmarket version of the fine Burlesque stripper from the States...) but I think you maybe over intellectualising trolls. Psychologically can you actually just a communities response to a false stimulae (the opinion of the troll) i think I would just think about sacking the whole project and writing an article on the relative success of Kelly Brookes 'naked month'. With photos.

A moral lecture on my drunken slattern ways from a lazy journalist masquerading as a troll, masquerading as the voice of social conservatism. Damn that really would make me grumpy.

I dont find DDL that attractive anymore, he's a sad loss to my totty list. Isn't that Liddle fellow someone that everyone in their right mind thinks is a tw@t?
-
Sometimes I lose faith in this forum and think it takes itself too serious, but faith has been restored with what feels like a big WHATEVER lets go back to banter about s?@t. Genius.

The tiny little things thread is about irrational hatred. Women do very little irrationally, it just seems that way..... Cider is stronger isnt it. I hate that wine is wonderful stuff and I love it but it gets me hammered after 2 glasses, makes me behave like a complete t**t, makes me feel like a sexkitten but as the night wears on makes me look like a cheap leary Cougar drooling into my own handbag/cleavage. Bah.

Doubt he was shaving at all, I have a more resplendid moustache. ahem.

Dentists.... dont get me started. I was in the dentists recently for root canal work and they invited a works experience boy to watch the whole thing. The shame and indignity of crying like a baby in front of a teenager.

Maybe its irritation as a result of a testicular shaving rash combined with over zealous bleaching.....

As discussed with a not unlimited amount of bile in the half time of ladies football. Just to get started.... Personally I hate it when you buy reduced items in the supermarket then they go through at full price meaning a) you have to highlight your cheapness to the operator and probably a superviser as well, or b) you end up with something you didnt really want but bought it because it is cheap and you have to eat it that very day (filled with resentment) The trend for male genital shaving, stop it, stop it right now - I have experienced it a number of times this year and I just dont like it. If I wanted to caress a kiwi fruit I would go to the supermarket (probably in the reduced section) Modern sandwiches, too much choice full stop. Enter sandwich shop, am stunned by rocket, brie, tapanade, honey roast breaded smoked ham so end up with Tuna and Sweetcorn to avoid filling meltdown. Tuna and fecking sweetcorn.

I spent last night baking for a picnic today. It's not looking likely is it.... The pictures sounds a plan!

London Kings Cross to York, change at york and head Masham way.... sorry not helpful... would second Shoreham - Eynsford - Otford area. There is a little stream by a ford in Eynsford which is reasonably pretty to eat sweets from the little sweet shop on the corner. The big complaint I would have is what is it with the pubs round there, they are sooooo unfriendly - walked in and thought maybe I had grown two heads. Not unlike American Werewolf in London - plus with awful awful beer. oh for a pint of black sheep, a buxom barmaid and the faintest whiff of manure. -
Hmmm yes come over the bad side of the tracks with us trollops in Forest Hill or indeed the strumpets of Honor Oak Park. There will be no needlework, curtain twitching or domesticity in SE23. Now that Miles is officially a bad boy, acd and bounder he will fit right in..... > Miles Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > > > I think your silence speaks volumes. > Away to the trollops of Forest Hill with you. > Leave the pure womenfolk of ED to their > needlepoint and tending to their households. > As well of course having to endure the base > carnality of their husbands. > I think of each EDette being like Mrs Doyle, you > know "When you see him standing over you with his > lad in his hand, wanting you to degrade yourself. > can you imagine it?" > It's not an exact quote but I'm sure you get the > flavour. > I'll never forget the look on Mrs Doyle's face, > I'm sure she did. > So less it, right.

I am sure it is a scene from something I watched recently either godfather I or II, or from a scene in six feet under where they are considering the concept of grief. It is something with a narration. has been bugging me too.
