  1. Hi Karate is so over skids, you need to get yourself some Eruption for Men from Lidl. It's powers pierce panties from 10 paces...
  2. Buy a nun's outfit and wear it to answer the door - they will assume there is nothing more they can say. They are remarkably comfortable, and roomy after a substantial boozy lunch.
  3. North london, never been back since *shudder*.
  4. no no thats the date I went on last year who asked in advanced if I was bothered by something more substantial than a designer goatee....
  5. That was certainly not the intention. Well from the age of around 17, upon realising that I was at my final height, but unwilling to accept my diiminutive stature, I learned to walk in heels. I have been practising ever since and now I think I am rather good at it. I rarely wear 5 inch heels these days admittedly.
  6. Artful, you need to catch me around ovulation time, I just go cleaning mad. Its the nesting instinct. Just give in to the hormones. You know you want to....
  7. The height thing is about managing expectations though. I went on one of those t'internet dates once with a man who said he was 5 11. Now I am barely 5 3 so have no scope for comments on men of less than god like stature but in heels I range from 5 4 to a rather resplendid 5 8.... well I turned up and was considerably taller than him and I felt a little embarrassed and swapped to my flats to try and be sensitive. If someone used my photo on a dating site I think I would be remarkably flattered, puzzled, but flattered.
  8. they are extending the cemetary - there is a thread on SE23 on this.
  9. You waited 2 months......
  10. Do you lot ever sleep?
  11. I am not sure I even classify this as being dumped but I got a text from a fella I went on 2 dates with "whenever i feel a girl really likes me I get scared and run away" my reply "does it help if you know I think you're a bit of a knob with hobbit feet" I never heard from him again. sighhhhhh.
  12. ooh PR is this for the forthcoming film Bend it like Peckham, a story about a collection of daring renegade football amateurs coached up to ladies football supremacy...... I know its been done before but continuous themes worked really well for James Bond and every Guy Ritchie film...... Never ever buy a Slanket, its admitting defeat.
  13. well you could go do 450 leg presses down the gym... In a month it will be cold, dark and grim, so I would get some sunshine whilst you can However I think, under the circumstances, a day of duvet, tv and carbohydrate (in quantity) is perfectly acceptable. If you need to feel some sort of achievement go out get the ingrediants for your favorite comfort food, cook and then eat in bed guilt free as you have been out.
  14. I certainly wouldnt knock BBC news- its just different perspective - like I read the Guardian, Independent and when it was free used to read Times online. I think it healthy to get a range of views and I suppose we are lucky we have that available to us through a variety of media. I wouldnt like to think I could only rely on one source of news, especially if it was emanating from the Murdoch empire
  15. The brownie guide oath was/is to serve the queen and to do your duty to god. Mother tried to make me join at the age of 9 and I took great exception, mostly because you had to skip round a toadstool and the uniform in the 80s made you look like a giant poo wearing a bobble hat. I refused to swear the oath, never became a proper brownie and brought my family into disrepute in the village. Ma has never forgiven me. Brownies and Guides just seemed to reinforce the stereotypes of how young women should behave as well.
  16. I dont think any news channel is (Fox is my favorite for opinions on TV which havent been heard since the 1950s... I am still convinced they will announce that it is actually all a big joke and the right wing nutters interviewed are actually actors) but AJ shows a different viewpoint and highlights global issues that arent considered reportable say in the UK or US.
  17. I used to watch this in Africa as there was no BBC World where I was and you may as well watch Ceebeeies above CNN for facts and educational commentary. Whilst not laugh a minute... I always thought it had articles that you wouldnt see elsewhere and the coverage of the storming of the boat by Israeli troops in Gaza was excellent.
  18. I will go on a date with you but only of you are northern and dont shave your testicle (though the two tend to go hand in hand) Fussy moi...
  19. awww Sullied the forum is only messing with you and being declared mad is no great insult (it really cant be on a forum where 2 poster assume canine personalities) I am just disappointed as it wasnt a "date" (go out get twiddled and fiddle date) advert: I like those.
  20. Yip every time I play football in PRP I get bitten, I get fairly extreme reactions too. They also bite though clothes as I have what looks like a big red bruise 3/4 up my inner thigh and that area hasnt seen sunlight for year. Little buggers
  21. Well we are the only species to take other species and not just kill them, but to marinade them and serve with a chestnut and mushroom sauce and maybe some broccoli. The rest is probably just detail. i have spent way too much time in my kitchen this weekend
  22. last year there was some amazing mists, at the time i was on the top floor in the Barclays building in Canary Wharf and it was pretty eerie. You know there are buildings about 10-20 metres away from you but you cant see them.
  23. Katie I think there are number of issues at the moment, and it certainly isnt just you! There lots of "starter" flats on the market in SE22 and surrounding areas and not many FTB as banks are not lending high LTV loans - which FTB tend to need. I suspect this will change though with government pressure. The summer months are always notoriously bad for sales as well. Fingers crossed for you and it is a lovely flat (so I wouldnt be tempted to flog it at a knocked down price through the above site unless you are utterly desperate - which the above site seems to rely on)
  24. its amazing I am an aunt to a fabulous 18 month year old and a blissfully sleepy 2 week old. I love em to bits and when I first held my niece i felt very very emotional and I a tough old boot. I cant wait for niece to rebel against her mother when she is 15 and come to stay with me so I can teach her the ways of jazz and fabulous shoes! Congratulations you will love it!
