  1. funny I was just looking recipes up. I dont like haggis just by itself, its pretty strong. However if you stuff a chicken breast with it then its a bit less full on, then the obvious neeps and tatties. i suspect my Glaswegian nana would turn in her grave but she also put salt in porridge which I could never go for either. Then a little Balvenie ...
  2. ooh if you fancy selling a mink wrap I would take it off your hands! I have always wanted one of them.
  3. Thank you to the lovely, if utterly plastered, chap who helped me carry my Christmas suitcase (complete with Ma-on Tees's Christmas cake) up the stairs at the station. You were a whisky soaked swaying angel from heaven and if I had been able to reach up with out precariously toppling you over, I would have given you a Christmas kiss.
  4. No worries there LM, you wont be alone, I may have to join East Dulwich Weebles football team if I get any rounder.
  5. Happy New Year LM!! I didnt realise you were off to NZ. Have a fabulous holiday xx

  7. Back on track, its a Nigella recipe and my brother did it and it was v nice and not what you would expect
  8. The individual sexuality of a person is indeed a private things should they want it to be (with obvious exceptions involving public life hypocrisy etc) but the sexuality of a entire gender is up for debate. One of the things I have noted about when women get together and discuss sex, is the level of confirmation and questioning involved, if layered with humour and sometime vulgarity. Women have to continously ask themselves am I normal because of the stereotypes that we are spoonfed on a daily basis and which is getting worse. Porn is much more mainstream now and hell that is a lot to live up to. Female nudity of a very specific type is everywhere - again its a lot to live up to. Women talk to normal women to reconfirm that their desires, their needs, their bodies are normal because film, magazines and some, not all men have a really skewed view.
  9. ah plenty of insulation on them, they will be grand. I will be up there his weekend, may try and seek out that dashing little sailor suit... I think it would be very fetching on and off the pitch ;-)
  10. oh I also found that doing another sport once I felt confident enough also really helped (running can get dull) so started playing football - this helped my fitness immensely.
  11. I did it. so I started from being able to run for 5 mins, and then just kept upping it bit by bit. aim to run for five k and dont worry if its a mix of walking and running, it takes a while to get fitness levels up. and make yourself a ipod tune list (if you run the same route with the same play list you can measure how youre doing with where you are when a certain song comes on. I did my first 10 k this year, the adrenaline gives you a bit of a boost, its amazing feeling and when i finished i cried like a big girl. I didnt use a personal trainer as I am way to tight but lots of people like the additional discipline. good luck!
  12. I get the booze blues so I avoid when down. I think i try and accept that I feel down and although my immediate thought is to think that the situation is never going to improve I tell myself, through past experience, that eventually it does pass. I think accepting that it is normal to feel down every now and again sort of helps too, your not alone and lots of people go through it and empathise. Being with friends sometimes helps. I also have to give myself something to look forward to. Or you could just whack on the Tom Jones and have a dance in the kitchen...
  13. I think my relationships would be easier if I had a mute switch.
  14. sexually attraction and desire is very important in a relationship and whilst it is not the most important thing, I have always seen it as the glue that binds the other stuff together. Fortunately the things that people find attractive and sexy are diverse (I have a hopeless weakness for glasses, nice hands and forearms, oh and slightly crooked bottom teeth...). But despite the importance of finding someone attractive, I have never ended a relationship because of not finding someone attractive, its usually that they are selfish or just not funny so it must be the other attributes which are more fundamental.
  15. It makes a crap cup of tea in the morning to be honest.

  18. I rather think that you may need to be a little more than simply game. Whilst enthusiasm is of course commendable i think the ladies football team require something more substantial.
