It's not hackers. There are new PCI-DSS regulations coming into force at the end of March - so all retailers are scrambling to have their devices/infrastructure compliant by the deadline. https://www.scmagazine.com/resource/pci-dss-4-0-things-to-do-by-march-2024

Walked past yesterday, look to have building works taking place - don't know if it's permanent or not

The approaches that aircraft take to land are based on the prevailing wind, as the planes land 'into' oncoming wind. They can either land into Heathrow via an easterly or westerly approach - one of these goes over London

Just out of interest, what are your views on 5G? And how it relates (or doesn't) to Covid-19? seenbeen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Blackcurrant Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > On Andrew Marr today, the Oxford university > > vaccine scientist who has developed a vaccine > for > > testing said her previous vaccine against the > MERS > > coronavirus gave a much stronger and longer > > lasting response than the infection itself. The first area you wait is counted for their "Admitted into A&E" stat, the second area you wait you're counted as admitted so it doesn't affect their stats.

Not Over My Back Yard. Totally disagree. >> "It costs our society far more in detrimental noise impacts than Heathrow generates for example. " James, Care to quantify this? -
virgin broadband probs in SE22

I took the plunge and upgraded to the 500M offering (worked out the same as my existing package after some negotiating. You still get the large drops when the line is contested, but it's much more usable - Graphs here: https://p.datadoghq.com/sb/f065bbb28-9b343e7c45 (It's actually difficult to programatically monitor 500M download accurately) -

You have to contact them and complain - they purposefully do not proactively monitor customers connections, so they don't have to give refunds unless you complain. -

If this is accurate, file a chargeback with your credit card provider, they're failing to deliver a service you've paid for, your card issuer will refund you and they'll have to pay a fee. Re-subscribe when it's working - I sincerely doubt they're competent enough (or allowed) to decline service. -
You can port your number to any other provider, just call them up and ask for your PAC number (then listen to them try and keep you for 20 minutes). They might also offer you a femtocell which will act as a cell site for your number.

Looking forward to it opening. On speculation it's generaly wise to follow "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt."

Virgin problems on certain channels?
evilmanic replied to Nigello's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yep, they had an area fault for most of yesterday. Always worth giving them a call and asking for compensation, they won't give you any if you don't call and complain. Only ever one or two days free service, but still - better than nothing. -
Or, don't trust a spammer on a forum.

Hey admin, The site is still displaying as insecure - any news of a fix?
-
More than welcome, if they have any questions or need troubleshooting etc please feel free to drop me a message and we can switch to a more real time medium :)

I'm still seeing it as http, rather than https. In the crypto tab in cloudflare: setting SSL to flexible Always use https to On Automatic HTTPS rewrites to on - should do the right thing. One thing to watch out for would be if any external ad servers to make sure they can do SSL, but it looks like it's a self run one so it should be fine.
-
Hey Admin, As you use Cloudflare, might it be a good idea to force SSL? Especially as SSL works, but when we click login we get redirected to the un-encrypted page?

former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
evilmanic replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi James, As I think has been reported here before, there has been a water leak on Forest Hill Road for about the last 6 months, it's a slow leak but it's quite slippy from the algae there and once it ices over, it'll be worse. Outside the SeaMaster chip shop, 36 Forest Hill Road. Thames Water say that they've been waiting on a parking bay suspension for 6 months to fix this but nothing has come from the council, can you speak to some people please?
