East Dulwich Grove crossing - dangerous drivers!
freda grehan replied to Lolamaxx's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Two years ago on the 22nd Dec I was involved in a hit and run accident on East Dulwich Grove at 5pm. I suffered a lot of pain, multiple fractures in my leg, damaged shoulder and a nasty bash to my head. I've chased Police, Councillors and tried to get people to sign a petition - all to no avail. I have even offered to stand on East Dulwich Grove to collect signatures.I am still attending Kings College Hospital and having Counselling because of the accident which badly affected me physically and mentally. Every single time I go to LL I see a near accident on East Dulwich Grove. It really frightens me watching people trying to cross here. It won't be long before someone is badly hurt again. It's taken two whole years to come anywhere near a full recovery, I worry that someone could be killed here. I will continue to chase help to improve this junction and others like it. Please feel free to sign the above petition and ask your neighbours and friends to do the same. Thank you -
I was involved in a hit and run accident on East Dulwich Grove , Lordship Lane end. It happened on 22December 14. I suffered multiple fractures to my right leg and a ligament damage to my left shoulder and a nasty bang to my head. I was hospitalised for almost two weeks, missed Christmas with my family and it caused a lot of worry to my loved ones. There have been quite a few concerns on here regarding this junction and I have seen a few near misses since my accident. There is a petition going on to make this a safer place but unfortunately 500 signatures are needed, I've managed to get 55. If you live in the area and use this junction you'll probably know how dangerous it is to cross here. Please could I ask you to sign this petition so I can continue to ask for help to make this safer , somehow. Thank you Freda Grehan http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/safer-lordship-lane 135 signatures so far. Need a good few more, please sign if you agree that this junction is not safe and needs making safer. 400 odd have read the post and a good few have signed but we need a lot more. Please feel free to share on Facebook and amongst friends and family. Thank you - Freda

East Dulwich Grove crossing - dangerous drivers!

James What happened to the petition you set up? Did you send it out to your many contacts? There were no signatures from the SE22 magazine write up. I tried very hard to get signatures, I managed 55 all on my own but things went very quiet. I have managed to put the link on here so I'm hoping for a good number of EDF signatures. I will do my utmost to stop anyone else from getting hurt here. 18 months after the accident I am still suffering from what happened to me and my family and I'm not giving up. If you can help in any way I'd really appreciate it. -

Hello With reference o my last post yesterday (I'm the one who had the accident on East Dulwich Grove 22 Dec 14) I've managed to get the link but not sure if it will work on here? I have contacted James Barber to help me. We need 500 signature on this petition, I've managed 55 all on my own. Councillor James Barber was going to send the petition out to his contacts but I don't see any other signatures on the petition apart from those of my own friends and family. I will do my best to try to make this road/junction/turning safer.i only hope we get enough signatures to give the Council or TFL a nudge so they can do something to stop anything else dreadful happening. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/safer-lordship-lane This is the link, hopefully you can access it. If not I'll see if I can get help to make it work. Thank you Freda Grehan. -
East Dulwich Grove crossing - dangerous drivers!

I was knocked down at this particular junction (East Dulwich Grove with Lordship Lane) It happened on 22 December 2014. It was a hit and run driver who was speeding and cut the corner, knocking me up in the air. I suffered multiple fractures in my leg and hospitalised for 10 days, missing Christmas with my family. I was in a cast for three months then suffered a blood clot provoked by the accident. Police were absolutely useless. Councillor Barber started up a petition to make this crossing safer but I'm surprised that nothing more was done to help. I managed to get 50 signatures on my own but I will now try to put a link on here to see if we can't raise the amount of signatures needed for the Council to do something and possibly save someone's life. I've seen a few near misses here since my accident and it scares me so much. I have suffered 18 months of pain, anxiety and many hospital appointments - I don't want what happened to me happening to anyone else! I will get on to James Barbour to see if he can help me to put some kind of link on here, before anyone gets killed. -
I picked up a white bunny, a very loved bunny by the look of him. I have handed it in to Customer Help Desk. The lady behind the desk said that someone had called in to see if he was found but he wasn't at the time she had called. It's such a shame, a little one must be missing his or her bunny, made me sad to think that little person might have needed him for bed time especially. If you've lost bunny or know someone who has then he's waiting for you at the a Customer Help Desk at Sainsburys, Denmark Hill. I hope this helps.

I was knocked down by a hit and run driver on 22 Dec on East Dulwich Grove. I thought I'd mention just in case the owner of this poor dog is reading, please chase the police for CCTV footage as soon as possible. The police took three weeks to check footage on my accident BUT apparently footage is deleted after two weeks! Maybe if the Police are chased there might be some chance of catching this irresponsible, nasty driver. How could anyone hurr/mane or kill and just carry on with their life?
