  1. I was puzzled too but looking at Taylor Wilcox website it appears the current building is to let only as a Christmas pop up. http://www.taylorwilcox.co.uk/current-instructions-1/
  2. Until a few days ago, this unique and functional piece of art was located in Maxted Road but sadly no more. Have to confess I wasn't aware of it, that line from Big Yellow Taxi comes to mind http://www.ianvisits.co.uk/blog/2013/11/29/blogger-blamed-after-antony-gormley-street-art-stolen/

  4. A lawn has three requirements which need to be carried out over the summer months to keep it lush and healthy: regular mowing regular feeding (many commercial foods contain ingredients that will keep moss and other weeds down) regular watering, especially if the lawn is in full sun. Easiest way is with a sprinkler. If you do already maintain your lawn in this way, am at a loss of other things to suggest. If you don't, I promise your effort will be rewarded next year.
  5. I think it's going to be a hairdressers
  6. Perhaps get past the assumption this has to be something paid for by Southwark Council. A tree installed on Goose Green, sponsored by local businesses, would be a nice focal point for the community.
  7. Thanks for posting this, puts our 21st century concerns into perspective. I see from the Metropolitan Police Gallantry Awards 1939 - 1945( http://www.historybytheyard.co.uk/gallantry_list_1939-1945.htm ) Constable Whitmore was awarded the recommended George Medal.
  8. I see your point but "producing this tosh" is a sign of the times and has come to be expected. I think there is a danger of condemning the proposals too soon, on the face of it they seem positive and of benefit to the community. Perhaps the time to protest is if, as the proposals become more detailed, it becomes clear there are plans which may have a detrimental impact.
  9. "Dulwich Hospital site. Apparently another2-3 years befor the site will be sold during which time detailed plans willbe developed." James, is it possible to clarify what you mean when you say the "site will be sold". Does this simply mean the site will be transferred to the NHS Southwark Clinical Commissioning Group upon finalisation of their proposals (see other thread) and perhaps any surplus sold?

  11. Spinal Tap
  12. Perhaps this thread should be moved to the Drawing Room section of the Forum where more serious matters are discussed rather than the General Issues and Gossip Section?
  13. If you have an indoor aerial perhaps try moving it about? I had same problem on retuning but moving the aerial and then retuning again fixed it.

  15. I have looked at Figure 18: Peckham South Vision on page 101 of the Action Plan. East Dulwich Road forms the Southern boundary to the area so am unclear where "the huge chunks of East Dulwich south of East Dulwich Road" are. Also, for the sake of clarification, Goose Green is not included within the Action Plan.
  16. James, I have emailed you separately but should like to record my views that,as a resident of North Cross Road, I am opposed to ANY changes to North Cross Road market without a full consultation with those people it impacts upon most i.e. the residents of North Cross Road and surrounding roads.
