  1. These two references report on what is theoretically possible, not what has actually happened. What is the source of your statement ?(and people are)?? I think you maybe being hysterical 🙂
  2. I think Helen Hayes? visit improved deliveries for everyone, for a while anyway. We certainly received a backlog of mail afterwards.

No
  4. After reopening in August, PeckhamPlex announced they were closing again at the end of last month https://www.peckhamplex.london/

  6. ?The displacement roads can't cope with the displacement so it won't get better.? That's assuming the same number of people continue to use their cars when the whole aim is that people get out of their cars for short journeys and walk/cycle more. I?m a non driver myself but I know a few people who are walking now instead of driving and it would be interesting to learn of others who are making the same lifestyle changes.
  7. ?The biggest proportion of responses (80%) were from residents followed by visitors (16%) businesses (98 responses, or 4%) and organisations (<1%).? Visitors views were not included in the stats, you will see that visitors are shown at the bottom of each table, outside the main results.
  8. Well said frise1

Have you read the final consultation report for the East Dulwich CPZ? http://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/documents/s84107/Appendix%202.pdf Besides I was referring to residents vis a vis ?outsiders?
  10. The fact there will be a CPZ at all is because a resident has requested it
  11. I think that anyone can comment during the initial consultation and changes may be made as a result but the final say is with the residents
  12. I believe it is only the views of those who live within the proposed CPZ area and receive a consultation document that are taken into consideration.
  13. Not setting a precedent at all, there are two threads still open where the matter can be discussed. Even so, Admin?s forum, Admin?s rules. No everyone in Dulwich is not talking about the closures.
  14. Admin doesn?t need to be ?careful?, it?s his forum, why the threatening tone? I?m glad that many of the traffic threads have been closed, the subject has been overwhelming the forum and mainly limited to the same comparatively few posters which has put off a lot of visitors. There?s many other things to discuss.
  15. All the threads have not been locked. You can still post on the original one about Permeable Barriers I.e. the roads off Grove Vale and also the original thread about Dulwich Village closures. All the subsequent threads that have been locked were repetitions of these. You have no idea how many complaints Admin received by DM and it has long been his practice to lock duplicate threads. Anyway, as this thread should have been posted in the About the Forum section, it?s likely to be moved.
  16. No cause for concern for me, more of a relief
  17. Strange plaques dedicated to four dictators have been installed on benches on Goose Green. One says ?Muhammad Gaddafi, 1942-2011 Have I told you lately that I love you? Is it art? https://www.southwarknews.co.uk/news/memorial-plaques-to-dictators-kim-jong-il-and-colonel-gaddafi-mysteriously-appear-in-dulwich-park/?fbclid=IwAR1R1Nr9-O9ZNK3KEJOfAwpXRamBBpFmfp_yyvgRmsIJf-qAOUz50pV91U8
  18. Yeah, rumours can spread so quickly. It reminds me when there had been a not very serious collision in LL which caused the road to close. Word quickly got round it was due to terrorism
  19. ?But then I realised it is a Tory govt and they aren't very smart so probably could not have cooked up such a devilish plan.? Dominic Cummings could have though
  20. Diana Rigg. Legend.
  21. The Melbourne Grove way will for the time being like that any day of the week and no busses passing by
  22. I walked from North Cross Road up to the station this morning via Melbourne Grove, a trip I make quite frequently and it was much more pleasant than going via LL/Grove Vale, quieter and noticeably fresher
  23. The park local to me where I grew up had a mini golf course - it was great. Had to pay for it but it was very popular, used by all ages and easier to access than bowls

Funny that, it?s like you have the same mind /forum/read.php?5,2127729,2127767#msg-2127767
