Smaller ED/other local shops which may deliver?

Sue - if you?re still looking for sourdough bread, I believe Luca?s cafe in NCR have commenced deliveries -
Thanks for heads up, there will be two early mornings for older and vulnerable customers and two different early mornings a week for NHS and emergency workers. Full statement from M&S website, ?Supporting our customers and communities during this difficult time is our number one priority. We want to make sure everyone has access to the items they need, so we are setting aside the first hour of trading on certain days for our older and vulnerable customers, and for our brilliant NHS and emergency workers. For older and vulnerable customers, this will start on Friday 20th March, and going forward after that, on Mondays and Thursdays. For NHS and emergency workers, this will be Tuesdays and Fridays. Please visit www.marksandspencer.com/stores to find out the opening times of your store. Please note, this does not include franchise stores in petrol and railway stations. We ask our other customers to respect this request, as it?s the kindness and support we show each other that will get us through this.?

When I got there, the queue outside was comprised of people who did not fall within the vulnerable or elderly category and I guess were waiting to gain access at 8am. I was able to walk directly to the main door and was able to just walk in. There were two or three Sainsburys staff at the door who were vetting people. ETA Yes the store was full but not unbearably so. Without scrutinising the shoppers too closely, they did mostly seem to fall within the specified group.

There were certainly restrictions about who could go into the store itself when I was there at 7.30

Did it work then ? > > Were the queues because of this ? I was there about 7.30 and they were only allowing in those within the vulnerable and elderly demographic, others who had turned up were waiting patiently outside. Inside was very busy with long queues at checkout though SmartShop less so. There were many empty shelves. On the whole I think it worked well. I believe ASDA are doing the same tomorrow from when the store opens until 9am

Food banks also welcome money donations as well as food donations. Pecan in Peckham are looking for volunteers https://www.pecan.org.uk/southwark-foodbank -
Christopher Jefferies was brought to the attention of the police during a murder enquiry because he looked odd. He was arrested, questioned and later released. Someone else was subsequently found guilty and Mr Jefferies was awarded compensation for the trauma he had been put through.

Actually no. ?25 was the discounted price for the service that commenced on 1 June i.e. for 10 months. So ?30 for 12 months just reflects a proportionate increase to cover the full year.

The older generation did their fair share of stockpiling in the 1970s, long before social media and the internet. Toilet rolls were again targeted amongst other commodities including sugar, leading to the great sugar shortage when shops rationed how much sugar an individual could buy.

I?m glad to see one of these nuisance spammers engaging with the forum. Tell us, how much do you get paid for posting these links and why do you bother when you?re targetting a geographical market who wouldn?t be interested in the products/services you?re advertising?

Sue - sorry to learn about your digestive problems. Truth is, many of us cannot cope with what is described as healthy eating. It seems everybody who suffers from IBS experiences it differently with different triggers, and the old advice of ?eat more fibre? can make it worse. I?ve found following a low FODMAP diet has been beneficial and avoiding onions and garlic which are my particular kryptonite. Also, I?m interested in the relationship between stress and IBS: does stress contribute to IBS or does a bout of IBS make it more difficult to handle stress? https://www.ibsdiets.org/fodmap-diet/fodmap-food-list/

ED! Your advice needed // Neighbour trashing street
nxjen replied to ED Bird's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I would be concerned also. Perhaps speak to your other neighbours? They could well be just as concerned as yourself. -
I don?t think the vet actually advised seeking a home via the Forum but recommended posting here to see ?if anyone can recommend any other routes to explore?. Not quite the same thing.

Dadof4: The link you need is https://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/general-household-waste/request-household-waste-bins-bags. They are happy to provide extra blue bins ?You can order replacement blue bins if your bin has been lost or stolen, or if you need more recycling capacity.? James: This is not for the blue bin but the general waste bin i.e. the green bin.

Blocked drain, either yours or your neighbours, although it?s possible you?re both on the same main drain? -
Love it that an advert (probably temporary) for Feliway has appeared to the right of this thread.

The new user posts a few innocuous posts on established threads to establish their credentials and then follows up by posting a link to a website that?s selling something. ?Vanihe? is a new arrival, the post to the commercial website has been removed.
