There?s a carpet spray that Farmers sell which is very effective. You don?t have to spray the whole carpet, just those out of the way places like under the sofa and other furniture and in sheltered corners. They will come back and a second spraying will be needed. Since that first year, I?ve sprayed the carpet in April each year which have kept them under control.

I had a series of appointments at Kings a couple of years ago and did not feel confident after major surgery to use public transport so used Uber. They are not expensive and I believe that screens have been installed in their cars to protect both driver and passenger though perhaps others can confirm this, I wouldn?t feel happy about using Uber at present if that wasn?t the case. Something I wish I?d learnt earlier is that the pick up point at KCH is in Bessemer Road.

There are of course three council supplied brown bins - the smallest for use indoors which gets tipped into the next size up outside and then the large one which is for garden waste. Perhaps the bin man Effra spoke to was referring to the two smallest ones. Also, spare a thought for the bin men during the weeks, there are many, when there is no garden waste and they have to dive in to the bottom to collect the bags containing food waste should they be left in the largest size.
