  1. Well said Louisa. In our increasingly crowded spaces, people should be a little less self absorbed and show a little more courtesy to others.
  2. I haven't actually been to this place but it looks great, isn't too far away and they allow campfires which really adds to the outdoor experience! http://www.thehappycampers.co.uk/campsitedetails/68/
  3. Another similar one in Dulwich http://www.stagecoach.co.uk/dulwich.html
  4. Ah, I think you may have the same problem at Morley and Lambeth too. I think most access courses are 19+
  5. Lambeth, Southwark and Morley Colleges offer them. http://www.morleycollege.ac.uk/departments/access_to_higher_education
  6. RC - I'm also looking for an alternative to Google Reader which I use to monitor specific key words in the news rather than particular feeds. Would Feedly.com work for this?

    theyarecoming?

Could they be connected to the Dulwich Festval by any chance? http://www.dulwichfestival.co.uk/node/786
  8. Cafe Prov http://www.cafeprov.co.uk/ and Pullens http://www.pullens.biz/ are both pretty good IMO
  9. This chain is another cheap and cheerful option for an overnight stopover. https://www.hotel-bb.com/en/promotions/econochic-famille.htm
  10. Yep, that's the one!
  11. I agree about the acoustics. Call me old fashioned, but I do like a bit of hush in a library. I was there earlier today and even the lift seemed to make a huge amount of noise.

    Chips

What KK said ^ but Heston's triple cooked chips are worth the extra faff. http://www.potatolovers.co.uk/content/recipes/info/?id=65
  14. Just received this email from Tfl about resurfacing works. From Wednesday 27 February until Tuesday 5 March, bus routes 37 and P4 will be diverted in both directions on East Dulwich Grove at Red Post Hill, from 20:00 to 05:00 each night. This is due to resurfacing works being carried out on behalf of Southwark Council. Route 37 will be diverted via Denmark Hill and will not serve Half Moon Lane, North Dulwich Station, East Dulwich Grove and Lordship Lane. Route P4 will be diverted via Burbage Road and Half Moon Lane and will not serve Dulwich Village and North Dulwich Station.
  15. 1970s telephones!
  16. Surrey Quays
  17. I got one of these from Lakeland in Bromley. http://www.lakeland.co.uk/23482/Shark-Electronic-Steam-Mops. It's great on wooden floors - very quick and easy, but as Tiddles says might have been better with a built in Hoover.
  18. This is very good - the end result is similar to pulled pork. http://programmes.stv.tv/food-recipes/daily-cooks-challenge/111513-daily-cooks-challenge-slow-braised-honey-cider-pork-shoulder/
  19. My daughter contacted an online retailer recently about a missing delivery only to be told the package had been left in one of our bins! There wasn't even a note - how insane is that?
  20. Loving it. Definitely up there with the Olympics opening ceremony!

But then there's the olympics ..... The number 42 also goes to Liverpool Street from Camberwell from the same stop as the 35.
  22. Looks fab Minitoots ... Wales or Scotland, maybe?
  23. For your children, I would recommend a referral to King's College dental school. My son has just finished his treatment there and now has a beautiful set of straight, even teeth. The staff there were brilliant with him and what's more the whole treatment was free!
  24. One of the worst designs in recent times has got to be the 2012 Olympics font. A class of primary school kids could have done better!
  25. ...or Bournemouth? By train from Waterloo in less than 2 hours.
