    Brexit View

The Lib Dems could have brought the Conservatives to within one vote of defeat on yesterday?s Brexit bill, but Tim Farron and Vince Cable were absent. Unbelievable! https://news.sky.com/story/liberal-democrats-admit-party-messed-up-over-brexit-votes-11439419

  4. I use one of the many buses that go to Elephant & Castle then take a 388 for my daily commute to Moorgate. It does take longer than the train but it works for me.

  6. There are many free films available on Amazon Prime and the list is updated regularly. It?s good to have a different range of TV shows available too. We?re fans of One Mississippi and Life in Pieces.
  7. Bishopsgate is in the congestion zone so you would need to head up Commercial st from TBR if planning to go in that direction.
  8. Lidl have them for around ?1.70 for 15. Decent size and quality.
  9. The fruit and veg stalls in Herne Hill Sunday market and the Seasons of England greengrocers next to DuGard & Daughters usually have gooseberries when in season.
  10. Introducing patches of wild flowers in green spaces seems to be a trend across Southwark. The mound in Burgess park opposite Albany road looks lovely from spring onwards. Likewise a strip on Camberwell Green next to the road.

  15. Have you looked in Mrs Robinsons on LL? They usually have a good selection in there.
  16. Impressed by all the recommendations on here we asked for a quote to paint the exterior of our house. They came round, seemed very keen ... never heard from them again.

Morrison's usually sell it and I'm pretty sure I saw some in Sainsbury's DKH last weekend.

The signs about keeping dogs on a short lead are for the inner parts of the park only. No such signs around the outer perimeter.

  24. IDS was on the Andrew Marr show in Sunday. On the Brexit campaign and the ?350 million a week NHS pledge, he said: ?We never made any commitments. We just made a series of promises that were possibilities."
  25. Polenta is good for a change. I prepare according to instructions - basically pour into a pan of salted boiling water, stir until thickened, add butter, Parmesan cheese, herbs (thyme works well), pour into an oiled baking tray and leave to cool until firm. Cut into slices and fry until crispy. It works with lots of different accompaniments. This is a favourite of ours. https://www.hungryforever.com/griddled-polenta-recipe/
