We were there 3 weeks ago and there wasn't any snow for skiing, we went past one of the areas they use and it definately wasn't up and running. Last winter they didn't have enough snow to open, but try this site it might help http://www.visiticeland.com/infosearch.asp?cat_id=222&area=&type=5&subtype=5.10.0&keyword=Keyword There is a glacier where we went snowmobiling (really good fun) but we didn't see any facilities for skiing... There is a tourist information office on the corner of Skolastraeti and Bankastraeti with a very charming lady who's surname is Smith (can't remember her first name) she helped us organise the snowmobiling, our horse riding (Mr G on a horse is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen) and the blue lagoon (a must - so bonkers!). We loved it - such a beautiful country, and really cool people - make sure you join the Friday / Saturday night pub crawl. They know how to drink! But freezing cold and v windy so take a hat that will stay on. You're welcome to borrow our lonely planet!
