020 7358 9882 We go there all the time now - I wouldn't go anywhere else. She's fab with the kids. My boy used to scream the hairdresser's down. She's off on holiday and back at the end of August and she does get booked up but worth the wait so you don't have to deal with the trauma.

How do you get in touch with Mandy? I've tried the number outside her shop twice to no avail.

Pregnancy massage - recommendations please!

Dulwich Therapy Rooms are fab. I'd have one every week if I could! -
I know this has been done to death but I am looking for somewhere for my boy's first birthday - must be South East London - the awkward thing being that it's near 20 adults and a hand full of children. Any suggestions welcome! Thanks in advance.

Hello, Has anyone been? Its supposed to be like a massive exhibition called 'Believe it or not'. Is it suitable for 2 and half year olds?? Thanks in advance! X

Ps welcome to East Dulwich. Good luck!

I live on worlingham road, parking is not brilliant but always manage to get a space. Houses are bigger as it's not as pretty as Lacon and Crawthew roads, great location for everything and is quiet even though off East Dulwich Road. I would recommend it-but of course I live there so I would.

I brought fish fingers from Iceland yesterday they were divine! Also I know someone who works in a chicken factory in birmingham as they said they send the same stuff to marks as they do to asda. Its about what you do to your food to make it taste good not what brand the package says.

In the 1980s people said the same, there was the same analysis, same conclusions, same media coverage. You have to look beyond the mindless looting - in my opinion anyway.

Well said, fantastic post. For those who dont want to read it, dont, but dont then complain about it being too long. In 1985 riots only 33% of those who were arrested were actual ethnic minorities, it's not about race, it's about poverty.

Subsidence and content insurance in East Dulwich
indiej25 replied to indiej25's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks everyone, Will check out all your suggestions. Managed to find some banks who would do it and AVIVA seem to have a good deal at the moment. The building insurance covers the whole building, I only need it for my flat so I fear it would become terribly complicated. -
Hello all, My property has been underpinned as a result of subsidence, I have rang around loads of insurers and although I already have building insurance they won't cover me for contents due to the fact the front of my building has been underpinned. What companies to do you know that will provide contents insurance for this problem? Thanks in advance! Indie

Private/publics schools get charitable status, but this is purely financial, they don't have to pay as much tax and in exchange they provide scholarships, at the end of the day they are businesses. The best thing to do is speak to the school directly and see what they have to say about the letter.

There is roughly the same amount of migrants as immigrants leaving the country but conveniently were are not reminded by the daily mail every day about that! These people do the shit you would refuse to do, i.e. Getting up at 2 in the morning, working 12 hour days so we don't have to!

We are 5 Deaf locals, who you?ve probably seen waving our hands about in the various pubs around East Dulwich. We are running the Virgin London Marathon to raise money for a very worthwhile cause- Scope, a charity for Cerebral Palsy. This charity campaigns tirelessly to create a world where disabled people have the same opportunities to fulfil their life ambitions as non-disabled people, and are committed to creating a better society for everyone. Being disabled ourselves, we recognise Scope?s efforts in this, and in our small way we are going to compete on an equal footing with tens of thousands of other entrants by taking part in the London Marathon. By finishing this, we hope to fulfil a life-time ambition as well as to raise a significant amount of money for Scope. We spent all of yesterday shaking buckets at Embankment and managed to raise ?500 from it. Thanks to anyone who donated! Henry's facebook status at the end of the day was - 'I gave a random businessman a piggyback across the bridge to Waterloo. Just so very weird and very wrong. I regret it but at least the money goes to a good cause...' Because of the man's poor lip pattern Henry thought he was asked to carry his bags till he got to the bridge. :D We would very much appreciate any donations towards our cause, you can donate and read further details at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/London2011 By supporting this event, you will be making a real difference to Scope and the valuable service it offers those who need it most.

If the elderly resident is classified as disabled or on some form of benefit she is eligible for warm front which is service the government provide to make houses more efficient. -

Recycling. Do you want us to or not?
indiej25 replied to indiej25's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I think the nappy incident is terrible, but I found a broken bottle of glass when picking up the rubbish. The amount of children who live around here, can you imagine. Well I cant take a picture as I've cleaned it up but yes I will be sending an email to the councillor, little will be done though I'm sure. -
The bin men have been around this morning and the whole of my front garden is covered in my recycling, they haven't taken all of it and if anything else they seem to have spread around the street! I appreciate what they do is labour intensive and hard work. But Southwark wants us to recycle more and hopes to recycle 90% of waste by 2020, they cant do that if it's still on my neighbours and my doorstep!!
