John Marx (Top Marx Kitchens): highly recommended kitchen fitter
juicypips666 replied to Pammy's topic in Reviews
A warm recommendation for John Marx who provided stellar kitchen fitting services back in June. John and Gaby (his partner) were super helpful, providing great advice and solutions in the planning phase. They were incredibly accommodating with my technical/ budget constraints and timings. The work was carried out as per original timings and to very high standards, with minimum disruption caused and all finished within time allocated. John and Gaby were professional and flexible throughout and are truly lovely, super friendly people. Good local traders are hard to come by and they truly fit the bill! Recommending them warmly, they are top-notch! They can be contacted by email:[email protected] -

Where is it safer to food shop in East Dulwich ?
juicypips666 replied to Alan Medic's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The owner of the small independent shop next to Funeral Directors next to the Plough is the only one I have seen in the area who wears gloves and a mask. It's a very small shop so will be for basic supplies only. As of yesterday he had good coffee, rice and a small selection of fresh fruit and veg so it's a great option if you wish to top up basic supplies. He was closed today so I went to local Sainsbury's next door. There the staff wears no protection and doesn't respect social distancing AT ALL. The way the shop is laid out it's really hard to navigate without bumping into each other. Why when independent local shops are closing their doors or imposing a queueing system outside their shops - should one of the leading UK supermarket not instigate strict safety rules for their staff to follow? -
Dog Barking Non-stop in Garden
juicypips666 replied to juicypips666's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Apologies everyone for late reply. This is right at the top of Upland Road. If anyone is experiencing the same issue, send me a PM. Thanks! -
There is a dog barking non-stop in a garden on Upland Road, is anyone else hearing it? It's a reoccurring problem, and I am trying to identify where it lives so I can make owners aware of it. PM me if you prefer to. Many thanks

Does anyone know what's happened to Nunca's mural? It's been painted over in the past week and the vibrant queen bee and its hive have been replaced with... a brand new white wall. Anyone knows more? Seems a shame as it was a nice colourful and quirky touch on this part of ED.

Indeed a sad loss and another independent quirky place down the drain thanks to landlord's greediness. Anyone knows if the furniture man selling vintage stuff at the back will relocate locally?

Swedish, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage - BTEC Level 5 Qualified Therapist

Also wanted to leave a recommendation for Andy, went to see him today and really enjoyed the experience. Strong, firm massage and as Misi says above, really attentive to your needs so will adapt pressure and tailor it to your specific requirements. Also located a nasty knot on my shoulder (which had been there for aeons) and managed to make it disappear. Really professional and a lovely chap, will recommend to my friends and will definitely go back! -
Thanks Ingrid B for this lovely project, even if not all street artists have agreed to conform to the (great) concept of drawing their inspiration from Dulwich gallery, it has produced a number of arresting, interesting art and has added colour and quirkiness to the area. I am surprised at the number of people taking offence at the pictures (bar the controversial canine creature on Bellenden rd). For people finding the bee/William Blake and the number of murals offensive, might they prefer to have local facades covered by more JC Decaux outdoor advertising??

Great news about the Library. I am confused though I thought libraries were currently threatened with closure because of gov cuts? What is going to replace the current Grove Vale library? Waitrose? -
hello, quite keen to join a choir (could be local or nearer town). Looking for 'no-audition/can't read music' type of choirs though with varied, multicultural repertoire. Any suggestions would be most welcome! Thanks

Would anyone have a copy of Thursday's Evening Standard at home or in their recycling bin please? I am desperate to get a copy as I had small thing published but ES messed me up on the date and in the end I didn't see it in print. If you happen to have it laying around the house (or in the recycling bin) I would be really grateful if you could drop me a message and I'll pop in to get it. Many thanks!
