  1. City airport is by far my favourite in London. In fact it's the only one that is actually IN London. Easy to get to and small enough that it doesn't take hours to get in and out of like LHR and LGW.
  2. Sorry to hear this but to be honest, penstemons promise more than they deliver. I hope your thieves dwell on that once they realise their folly.
  3. As spider69 says above, I frequently sweep up leaves outside our place and put them in our brown bin, as thee aren't enough street cleaners to cover this adequately. I'm not going to play for a brown bin and do the council's job for them. Also, other people frequently use our brown bin, despite there being plenty on the street. If some are removed, more of other people's waste will go in a bin which only I am paying for. This is all a very bad idea. I suspect I'll take to concealing the garden rubbish in the green bin. That won't help anyone.
  4. I'm concerned at the resemblance these deposits all seem to bear to popular confectionary.
  5. So sorry you had to go through this but you really should tell the police.
  6. If this is true, it's unacceptable. Everything should be done to encourage recycling/upcycling. I also thought the council used this waste to make compost for use in the borough's green spaces, so we'd effectively be paying them twice for something that benefits everyone. If they try to charge for this then much of this waste will end up in landfill, which helps nobody.
  7. Because the bridge isn't strong enough to carry traffic both ways at once. It's been this way (or closed) for almost half the time you mention. snoopy17 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I don't see the point in this traffic light in the > first place. 8. "the size of a lion bar" They're not as big as they used to be.
  9. Well I?d be quite happy to see a large increase in penalties for drivers and cyclists. Dangerous and selfish behaviour is becoming far to commonplace among both groups. rendelharris Wrote > You'd be surprised how few traffic lights do have > them; according to t'internet, the only junctions > with red light cameras anywhere near this > neighbourhood are the Village Way/ED Grove > junctions and the Champion/DK Hill junction. 10. I heard that it was meat which had been deliberately poisoned. Wise to steer clear.
  11. Well cars don't need this technology, they have numberplates and many (though not enough)lights have cameras, which would be useless when it comes to bikes. I'm up for anything that makes all road users more responsible. rendelharris Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > I trust you also wish that cars were fitted with > the same technology to clock them jumping red > lights (
  12. No but I do often wish all bikes were fitted with technology which clocks them when they jump lights. Never gonna happen though.
  13. It's not really that bad. There are so many other things that are more important to worry about. You live in London, there are planes.

  15. Let's face it, the middle section is the only reason to buy it.
  16. Just wait til after Brexit. That bill will be much bigger.
  17. Spot on DulwichFox. For once I agree with both you and Louisa. 18. This thread isn't helping anyone. It's just ghoulish speculation and this forum at its worst.
  19. On a side note, the George Canning is pretty grim. Ow we can see why.
  20. I've been going there for about 7 or 8 years and not once had a bad meal, quite the opposite. It's delicious.
  21. Agree, the TimeOut Rome guide is vg.
  22. By many, many miles Silk Road in Camberwell is the best Chinese food around. It's Xinjiang food, so very unlike bog standard "Chinese takeaway" food.
