  1. You'd have to have extremely long legs to get to Oxford St in 5 mins!
  2. Enjoy!

Yes but it's a manically busy interchange, so the journeyntime is hugely variable and often very busy and Green Park station isn't really that central (I.e. not close to anywhere you'd want to go except the parks.) I suppose my point is that it was a stress-free journey. I've been shopping in town at Christmas since about 1995 and I've never had such an unhassled journey (especially coming home.)
  4. I've done the journey via Victoria countless times and have never, ever made it in 15-20 mins! I'm not sure that was possible. It was 26 mins via CW. I'd have called that a good journey time via Victoria (and without the tube interchange misery.)
  5. It started today. We went to Bond Street for a bit of Chrimbo shopping via Canada Water from Denmark Hill. Loved it! Very quick, very easy and very comfortable. The chaos of pre-Christmas West End was much soothed by such an uncomplicated journey. I expect it will be a little more hectic at peak hours but overall I think it will be a big bonus for the area.
  6. I reckon it wasn't a dog but one of the posters above,

I agree with everything you say. The 2:5 Fasting idea is pretty much a "for life" thing (and doesn't feel like a diet, as you can have what you want most of the time but actually end up generally eating more carefully/healthily.)

Because the postcode indicates the sorting office any given street is allocated to, presumably based around distance from the office, size and capacity of the office etc. nothing to do with an area as it sits in people's perception.
  11. The parish border and postcode arguments are really rather irrelevant. Nobody considers Bellenden village to be part of E.D. Even years ago, long before its current trendiness, it was always considered more Peckahm than anything.

Might as well be Lewisham!
  13. ED for me is Dog Kennel Hill North, The Mag south, edge of Peckham Rye east and Townley Road West. Bellenden is definitely not in ED.

  15. Lovely post. Hope you find lots of happiness in ED!
  16. Don't get me started about the (shh) "wrong end". I.E. anything south of Iceland.

We are doing the 2:5 Fasting Diet. It's amazing. Weight dropping off but not in constant pain from hunger or boredom. 2 days eat up to 600 cals for men, 500 for women. They don't have to be consecutive days. The rest of the week eat what you like. You'd be surprised how much you can eat for 600 cals if you plan properly.
  18. This show is getting very silly now. I do wish they would lock up eye-rolling Crazy Carrie for good!

To be fair, you're in a pretty small minority leaving that early. An hour later and it's a totally different story.
  20. That building is hideous and some development would be welcome.

A pub has a bar but a bar doesn't necessarily have a bar. Confusing innit?!

  24. We've used them for carpet and wood flooring. Not the cheapest but great job every time, so worth it in the long run. I agree - what's the point of a belated moan on here? What can be achieved from this? It just makes me think the OP is a competitor.
