  2. Which bit of the OP's "I don't do sci-fi" is hard to understand? The usual Danish suspects are some of the best - "The Killing", "The Bridge", "Borgen". We love "The Good Wife". "The West Wing" is the all-time best though.

Bob - was that you and Vicanna I saw in a skip by Goose Green this morning with the Mission Impossible theme tune playing from an old cassette recorder?
  4. Nope - doesn't hurt me. I do find your use of the words "retarded" and "mong" tell me pretty much all I need to know about you. That and the "Urban Exploration" *sniggers*....
  5. I'm with the anti-make up on public transport faction but I'm with DJKQ as far as her assessment of this Vicanna individual goes.
  6. Vicanna Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Some of the people commenting on this thread are > so retarded it's not even funny. This from someone into "Urban Exploring". Not massively surprised you would choose rouse such an offensive word.
  7. Tried it, didn't like it.
  8. There are also thrills to be had by going on to the platform at ED station without touching in with your Oystercard.
  9. Sounds like a wank to be honest.
  10. When observing the sort of person that is trashy enough to apply make up on public transport, the phrase "You can't polish a turd" always occurs to me.
  11. Sorry to burst your bubble on that theory Alan but I'm gay and it gets on my tits.
  12. It is irritating. Don't know why but it is. So is talking loudly on a mobile.
  13. There are nowhere near enough threads on this forum about GPs. Please could you be sure to start a few more by the end of the weekend, just to ensure we have the subject covered?

    Zedel

But to be fair, Franklin's isn't exactly touted as a vegetarian-friendly place. I'd rather they specialise than try to please everyone (and I speak as a former strict vegetarian.)

    Zedel

Agree Zedel is great. It's a really impressive space and the food is good and really reasonable. (I am not Monsieur Zedel!)
  17. Also only one Oyster card reader working for over a week now, so it's become even more of a bunfight to get in or out. This added to the stupidity of the general public in not having the sense to stick to the left on the stairways and in the passages means that almost every day I witness bottlenecks and some f***wit tutting becasue others have the cheek to try and get into the station when they are trying to get out.
  18. Take the ?15 and leave a crap on his shop floor.
  19. A reasonable question from the OP and a useful answer from Lowlander - thanks.
  20. And only if you frown and look at the person next to you.
  21. People filing their nails. That too is reprehensible.
  22. So now we know what Bob gets up to on trains.
  23. Unacceptable. As is applying make-up, brushing hair, speaking loudly on your mobile phone, texting with the "beeps" switched on on your mobile keypad. I'm sure there are many more things but I'll only wind myself up.
  24. Helping someone after an accident is a completely different story. Handing over cash in circumstances as described is just dumb, sorry.
  25. If anyone's daft enough to fall for this then the scammers deserve the money!
