Anyone hear jets flying over ED around 5am this morning?
edcam replied to Mrs TP's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I really don't understand why this bothers people so much. -

Kimberley's a dick. We're rooting for the one with dodgy teeth. Since Howard left it's hard to find any joy from any of them though.

Meh! It is neither futile nor nasty, don't be ridiculous. Of course I think these companies take the p*ss but the best way to avoid unreasonable fines is to avoid incurring them. Simple.

Hard to tell unless you're a dentist. It's fairly common knowledge that no 2 dentists would give the same advice. so someone else might give you a different take. I'd say leave it for a bit if nothing is urgent.

Yup - no complaints here. We had Sky before and Virgin much better.
-
Or you could abide by parking rules on private land as well as public and avoid any fines.

Morning rush hour from Denmark Hill to City
edcam replied to KVT's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Get a bit bossy. Get on the train and say "I'm pregnant, please can I have a seat.". I'm sure most of the time someone will help. People are mostly in their own bubble on that kind of journey. Break it and you should be fine. -
What a load of unnecessary and artless shizzle.

Adrian Chiles is a waste of space.

Anyone know any fit and healthy builders who work out etc?

Sorry can't help but would definitely like to see the pictures ;-) -

All of these things are of concern to me but that doesn't preclude having an opinion about other things. What an odd comment.

Christ. It's this sort of thinking that creates the problem. You think your judgment is sound - fair enough, so do most people. That doesn't mean they're right. If the laws are wrong (and they sometimes are) then campaign against them. Until then suck it up.

What's happening to ED police station
edcam replied to Tomlinson's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It's for sale isn't it? Will undoubtedly be bought be developers and turned into flats. Either that or Waitrose. -
No Henry b - cyclists should stay off the pavement full stop. Motorists and pedestrians should similarly follow the rules. It's quite simple really. The judgement all about whether it's ok to bend the rules has too wide a margin, so half hearted codes of conduct don't work.

I don't see where the argument is. It's illegal to cycle on the pavement and the place in Smithfields that a fish describes, so there's no excuse for doing it, whatever the speed and whatever the costume. End of story.

What is happening with the pubs in East Dulwich?

A hammam.

Oh get a grip. Admin is just avoiding unnecessary hassle and I don't blame them.

Agree re the posters - an eyesore and often placed dubiously. More importantly, does Zippo's still use animals? If not, good luck to them and well done. If they do, I hope the community boycotts them.
