Well it's standard procedure to ask where you've used your card. That's their job when these things happen!

A bank should never ask for your card. In these cases they ALWAYS tell you to cut it up. As giggirl says, if you have a call like the one she describes, just say you're using a different phone to call the bank.

I've had several attempts at fraudulent use on cards over the years and have always sorted it out on the phone. I know there are worried about bogus phone calls but as long as you NEVER give anyone your pin number you should be fine. Going into a bank to sort something out is always going to end up a nightmare these days unfortunately.

I imagine that if they're LGBT it's not a whole barrel of laughs. Don't encourage them, stay away.

I've never been to the Anchor & Hope in The Cut, SE1 but it gets consistently brilliant reviews and I've always meant to try it. They are taking over The Recreation Ground in Camberwell Church Street early in the New Year and calling it The Camberwell Arms, so looks like another great addition to what's becoming a pretty amazing corner of London for food and drink. Not strictly East Dulwich (which is why I'm posting here) but I know many forumites are aware of the great opportunities for face-stuffing in Camberwell, my faves being The Crooked Well, Angels & Gypsies (and their fab new bar, Communion) and Silk Road.

I'd have thought they would do best with takeaways. That space has never worked, either as Black Cherry or as the Draft House. Something about the proportions make it very uninviting. Maybe some clever design can get round that but I'm not sure how.
