  1. I see there are a few here who have fallen for the con.
  2. It's BS. UK citizens are a far greater threat in Spain than anyone coming in from there. In the 5 days prior to 26th July, there were 426 deaths in the UK and 12 in Spain. It's yet another tory (Cummings) con to fool the gullible.
  3. Well done. Sorry you had such a horrible experience. Habitualbridesmaid Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Done
  4. It's clear that dontbesilly is a troll. Best ignored.
  5. I agree. Ideally everyone would wear them in public but a huge number of people aren't wearing them on public transport, which is supposed to be compulsory, so good luck with trying to extend it. KrackersMaracas Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I?d be more willing to get behind a petition which > requires shoppers to wear masks to protect shop > assistants. 6. Bad advice. It's really not good to use someone else's bin, you never know when they'll need it and they will have also paid for it. Someone keeps using ours and several times there's been no room for our own garden waste. Crap that the council haven't sent the OP their sticker though. dontbesilly Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > A good thing to do if your one is full or you dont > want to pay the annual fee, is just put it in > someone elses brown bin in your street or beyond. > You'll find that often people do not fill them up > anywhere near full, so theres plenty of room for > your garden waste.
  7. Virgin are patchy but still better than BT or Sky.
  8. I wonder what the OP was on when he posted this.
  9. If this is going on it's hugely problematic but these photos of badly dressed young people prove nothing. Get in touch with the police and get them to deal with it.
  10. From what I've seen, that particular ship sailed some time ago. uncleglen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > I can honestly say that I have become xenophobic > in the past two weeks....
  11. Surely you have insurance?
  12. Social distancing has all but gone out the window post-Cummings. Other countries have successfully got on top of the virus with 1m. I read an article saying that in Italy people were generally exceeding the 1m rule. Says a lot about how poorly our government handled the lockdown measures and the entitled psyche in the UK (specifically England.)
  13. I take malumbu's point. This is a massive case of shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.
  14. Malumbu, have you tried Ganapatti? Their food is great and a good selection of non-meat dishes.
  15. Cunmmings should have done what the vast majority of people with children have done, stay at home. If he and his wife had become too ill to look after their child, this niece he's going on about would surely have been allowed to come down and help. Failing that it's impossible to imagine that aid wouldn't have been provided by the government for someone in his position. Stop making excuses for that arsehole.
  16. Cummings got rid of all the credible ones. I would never vote Tory but I can think of several who would have been much more useful right now than this lot.
  17. He's famously workshy. He wanted the job but none of the hassle and boy did he inherit hassle. I didn't want Corbyn as PM but it's hard to imagine anyone doing a worse job than Johnson and his cabal of incompetents.
  18. I?m still as irritated by those who don?t behave responsibly (joggers being a particular pain in the arse) but I?ve already said all I need to say about it. Rest assured I?m still annoyed at a lot of people!
  19. None of this was his idea. It's this bloody awful government.
  20. Idiots. This government has a lot to answer for with their wishy-washy "advice". Plus - so many people are stupid.
  21. Was there this morning at 11.30ish. It moved pretty quickly (speed of entry of course unrelated to standing distance but everyone observing the 2 metre rule). The end of queue was by the main gates and it took around 20 mins. The timings do vary a bit depending on how long people are spending in the shop but my last few visits have seen a reasonable speed. The longest I've waited was when the queue was almost on to Dog Kennel Hill and that was about 40 mins.
  22. Even if this were true (it isn?t) it would make no difference to how long you have to queue. Better than too close. dbboy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Started queuing at 10.50am, got into the store > 11.35am, 45min wait with the queue all the way out > and starting to go UP Dog Kennel Hill. > > SOME people are still yet to grasp the concept of > what 2m actually is, rather than them thinking 2m > is is akin to 8 or 10m, which results in the queue > being much longer than it needs to be.

    Stay Alert

We are told to be guided by common sense, thereby placing all the responsibility on the shoulders of a confused public. You can go to the park and be within 2 metres of absolutely anyone, unless they are someone you know, in which case you can only be within 2 metres of them one at a time. Sigh....
  24. Yes, you are. gromit3:16 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > truly awful,
