Youth offenders site in ED - Bad news!

OK - so you're admitting that (a) you live next door to wrong doers (b) you've had you're car vandalised and your garage broken into. Mmm... wonder who did that? Likewise you please spare me the whole 'Elizabeth Fry' routine. Just because you help people who actively decide to go against the system it doesn't mean you're respected by them enough for them to spare them your house / car / garage. Once a stinking criminal, always a stinking criminal ISN'T far off the mark. Explain exactly how 'many' sort themselves out / go on to commit unseen crimes that are never accounted for. You've seen it on the TV - the skanks of this country think everyone owes them something and they'll take regardless or being caught or whether they've already been caught

So let me get this straight DJ 'don't mind if I fill-her' Queen. There are already robbers / vandals in ED so we might as well welcome more?! Everyone knows that 'once a criminal, always a criminal' - These guys might just finish their two monthly appointments of annoyingly indirect train routes to ED and complete everything by paper but they'll be back alright. You yourself admit that these youngsters are opportunists and just as James84 says - ED is comparatively better to do a spot of free window shopping than other boroughs. Moreover as Councillor James touches on - if they weren't aware of ED opportunities beforehand they soon will be after spending their afternoons to and from 'rehab' checking out endless amounst of single pain Victorian bay windows. The ones that will be coming by are only those that have been caught and are forced to rehabilitate - doesn't stop them relaying info of the next treasure trove to be added to their miscreant mates' list of places to trash. You want it set up next door to you then do you? Obviously you don't have children to consider, a house / flat that you value, and friends that don't mind get shards of glass between their toes and they walk over the threshold of your busted-in doorway? If they did set up next door to you I'm sure it wouldn't be a bad move all round - You and your incessant rants about all things ED will bore them stupid, which in itself might prove a good crime deterrant. Who are you kidding - no-one wants a criminal living next door let alone a high turn over of them! It's almost certainly inevitable but you can't have a go at people because they've VERY good reasons to be concerned about this. Selfish!!

'Flooded' - so dramatic! You make out as if a plague is coming or something. Get real 'Bird they'll be children practicing physical education not an infestation set about ruining your idyllic stroll in the park. There are far greater things to be concerned about than who should enter PR park when you're at work - you do understand you live in London, where greenery is scarce - heaven forbid a park becomes a 'playground' - you're a right old barrel of laughs. Move to the Cotswolds if you want serenity

What's the problem with the school using the park? Its not like there's not enough space over there eh? The people who are winging about it must be on the social anyway - why else would they be concerned with school groups using the park during working hours? What harm can they do its not as if teachers are going to be holding Burger King eating conferences over there and telling children to litter the place with half squeezed packets of ketchup is it? Quite the contrary. If your gonna live in nappy valley folks you gotta get used to the idea that you'll see kids having fun sometime even if it is in your beloved park. And before anyone comes back with 'oh actually I'm self employed and when I'm not working intensely from my study with PR park views I like to selfishly immerse myself in school child free pastures' - take your easy job and do it in East Dulwich park with your laptop. You'll probably have a more pleasurable afternoon

This photo must have been taken some time ago. I walked all the way down Lordship lane just to find it the other day and its in such a bad way. There is barely a roof tile in situ nowadays and it looks as though all the floors fell through a long time ago. What's with the rear of the building anyway? When I peared over the fence it looks as if the building now has an extension - or perhaps an adjoining building? You can't see it here so it must be pretty new? It looks horrible - some god awful hash up, vaguely reminiscent of the original style. I read that the owner wants it leveled so to build on it? I think they'll end up getting what they want by neglecting it this much. A real shame. Would be nice to see it restored but I guess it would cost far more than it would ever be worth doing so?
