Personally, I'm all for a pub which has a kid-free area - and, no, I'm not talking goats. Yeh, yeh - maybe I'm a freak but I do relish the idea of at least some space to enjoy a decent beer without the background wail of other people's offspring. Yeh, yeh - I confess to double-freakness cause I find the absence of a big screen showing sport a huge plus.

Hi Jaws - I was on a bus at a standstill outside the 99p store at the time. Something was clearly going off ahead of us. Thankfully there was little evidence of it, apart from a taped off area of pavement, by the time we got moving again. I'd forgotten all about it until I saw this thread. Horrible thing to have to witness - hope the playback is fading.
