  2. "Heinz Macaroni cheese is delicious by the way. Specially when you're poorly." *Heaves* ;-)
  3. And assurance of paternity rights, assuming there are kids.

  6. Oh dear, poor you *hugs* My immune system seems to be permanently upregulated as I've never caught this bug, nor do I get colds or flu, despite the fact Mr Minkey gets everything going.. Drink plenty of fluids with rehydration salts if possible, and I hope it passes soon.
  7. "Young man = trousers worn on hips" - the full nappy look ;-)

  9. The RSPB advise removal of the netting, Steve T, as it's a hazard for the birds: http://www.rspb.org.uk/advice/helpingbirds/feeding/how.asp "Mesh bags ? a warning Peanuts and fat balls are regularly sold in nylon mesh bags. Never put out any food in mesh bags. These may trap birds? feet and even cause broken or torn off feet and legs. Birds with a barbed tongue, eg woodpeckers, can become trapped by their beaks. Doesn't bear thinking about, does it. On a happier note, birds can be cautious about changes - they will get used to it.
  10. "Mates Condoms, several, 1999 - been a slow decade." Ah, the missing ingredient.
  11. "Someone quite 'cold' emotionally, told me recently what actually happens to the body whilst being cremated , he'd previously worked in two crematoriums. Its put me right off being cremated ." Wouldn't worry about it - by that time you'd be quite cold yourself.
  12. Why do people drop stuff off when the shop's closed. Feckers.
  13. I was listening to something on R4 a couple of days ago. I'm sure they said something about the insurance getting cheaper if an experienced driver is also on the insurance. Might be worth checking it out.
  14. Sue: I hadn't realised they'd gone - lol - would explain why I haven't seen them.

  16. "Trust me to get a deaf mute hedge sparrow." - ha ha - that's what I thought about mine last year, until they began making a repetitive sonar-like peep - mute is preferable, believe me - so I was amazed when I realised the lovely birdsong was coming from the dunnock. Wow, peregrines in ED. Well spotted! I work near the Tate and keep an eye out for the peregrines which are supposed to have nested on its chimney but I haven't yet seen them. I shall keep my eyes peeled near the hospital instead.
  17. There are only two in Peckham as well, double the amount in Brixton.. Rents are probably too high in these areas. I noticed last week that Herne Hill has an Oxfam dedicated to books. In my home town, which is dying on its feet, there must be @ 5 in a single High Street. The presence of lots of charity shops isn't a good sign.
