  1. if there's the demand (and i'm sure there is!), some morning openings would go down well. it a great resource and should be available to as many people as possible. its great to have drop in things like this. does dulwich park have anything similar??? they have the francis peek centre but i've never been inside so couldn't say if it would be suitable?
  2. most baby classes seem to run in the morning and there aren't that many going on in the afternoons. so the one o clock club is good for people needing afternoon acticities for their little ones. as i have a baby that sleeps mornings and is awake all afternoon, it is a good option for us! especially since there are far fewer classes. even the libraries mostly have their baby sessions in the mornings, with only the odd one later in the day. if they can't increase the hours, it would be far better to alternate opening times - say make tues and thurs morning sessions?? would be a shame to lose the afternoon sessions for those of us who find afternoons really useful.
  3. east dulwich community centre on darrell road se22
  4. owner has been reunited with their camera. thanks for everyone's help.
  5. i had allergy tests (also allergic to cats!) done at london bridge hosp but they don't do children. kings may do private appointment thru the guthrie clinic, otheriwse try the the portland hosp or other private clinics in nhs hospitals. sorry i can't be more specific. good luck x
  6. my baby has always thrashed about and then goes back to sleep. i always think that he must be dreaming about milk as he seems quite excited (sometimes he even chuckles in his sleep!) he definitely moves his head from side to side a lot. i think its just different stages of sleep and dreams.
  7. my baby has always been bottle fed and always refuses the bottle when he has teething pain, so i give calpol or something to numb the gums (eg ambesol gel) and then he always take the bottle afterwards. i give the calpol if he's been refusing milk all day and then he gobbles it down after he's had the calpol, showing he was refusing because his gums were hurting. my little one had also had reflux and is very unsettled after feeds as that is when he has the pain. he has gaviscon for it and had also tried other things which haven't helped but at 7 months it is settling down of its own accord. however the dietician did say that getting him onto solids would help with reflux as the food is heavier than milk. if your baby is hungry then try solids - try baby rice. i know lots of people who have started at 5 months. if the reflux is bothering him then the gp should be able to make some suggestions. good luck xxx
  8. sorry it wasn't yours sb2010! looks like it will be heading to the police station in the next couple of days.

  11. do report it and push and push and push for police to take fingerprints and follow it up. they often do convict people and its the same people behind a series of incidents.

  15. i used the tommee tippee no 2 ones from about 2 weeks old and we are still using them at 7 months old. my baby is very sucky too and they are not too slow and not too fast, so satisfy him. we tried the stage 3 (6 months plus) but they are very fast and give him more wind we think.
  16. baby ko is rolling over onto his front at night and then gets stuck so we have to get up and turn him over! i know he will eventually learn how to get back over, but any tips on what others did? many thanks xxx

  20. also from a few weeks old. i couldn't sleep and my shoulders were hunched up with tension - wondering when he would wake each time he made a sound!! we used a monitor (the BT 150 i think its called) and that was fine for listening in to him (can put volume up when want to hear him).
  21. yes we know our neighbours and quite a few other people on our road, plus lots of other people whom we have just started talking to when out and about. its very easy to get to know people! you get to know the local shopowners etc too. we also have a lovely residents association where everyone is very friendly. lots of nice pubs, bars, delis and coffee shops. one of the best things is the parks - dulwich park and peckham rye. both beautiful.
  22. The staff had the radio on and the last song i remember before the birth was Kings of Leon 'Sex on Fire'. That was playing while I was having a spinal block for a c section. I love that song anyway and hearing it always brings back good memories of my beautiful baby boy arriving and how exceptionally kind everyone was that day. Its nice to have a song to remind you of the birth and when they were so tiny. I wasn't organised enough to have a CD or playlist or anything, but the radio was relaxing and the theatre was lovely and very sunny (I was expecting a dark room like on TV!)
