  1. sorry forgot to asay he's 10 months old! had calpol about an hour ago and am hoping he drops off soon as he normally goes to bed around now.
  2. oh dear, baby ko has cried non-stop for an hour as he is filled with snot and can't get it out. has vomited as he is crying so much. started with a tickly cough last night. usually he gets a runny nose after, but this cold seems to have thicker snot which is just stuck in there. can hear how congested he is. any suggestions please??? do those things work where you suck out the snot? can i get one from sainsburys do you think? any advice very much appreciated x
  3. oh dear, baby ko is getting grizzlier, snottier and more grumpy as the day goes on! i'm afraid i will have to give this pm a miss which is a shame because i was looking forward to it. hope it goes well and sorry!
  4. hi, the meeting is today at 3.30, dulwich park cafe x
  5. see you there x
  6. we got a letter about it, so i think you should be contacted about it, but as with all these things sometimes they forget! they also seem to ring people up on the day if they have spaces, which is unfair as doesn't give you much time to decide, so if they do that to anyone you should just say its not enough notice for you.
  7. i asked my gp and she said it wouldn't be offered again when they are older (we used to have it at 12/13 yrs). gp said it was done earlier now. yes it is a horrible injection, so take sweets and treats with you! to be honest, my boy (about 5 months then) stopped crying as soon as he was out of the room and away from the nurse. he wasn't unwell after the injection, but as soon as i got home i gave him a dose of calpol just in case it was sore!! good luck with it xxx
  8. they only seem to have come out in the shops in the last couple of weeks. mothercare and primark have them out now for my boy's size (12-18 mths), but couldn't find anything about a month ago (even though the weather had already got colder!)
  9. a letter wouldn't hurt. its a bit silly really. does this mean you won't get a place at all, or is there a waiting list? do any places come up in january? i thought it was done in order of birthdays...?
  10. thank you!
  11. i would love to do this with my little one when he is a bit older (only 10 months yet). i think i will be the one jumping up and down wanting to go for a husky ride and wanting to take a husky home with me!!
  12. whereabouts is the albrighton centre? i know its dkh, but have never seen it? thanks in advance for any pointers.
  13. looks good, but the name?! is it a joke? i bet it drives like a dream though!
  14. yes i can make friday 24th at 3.30pm x
  15. drop in is perfect! i'm very, very reluctant to sign up to block classes because you end up missing half of the classes thru baby illness/bad days etc. the afternoons in particular have few classes going on. some venue suggestions: east dulwich community centre, darrell rd se22 goose green community hall (not sure of contact details sorry, but bumps and babes is held there on mondays so is used for baby groups) soup dragon on lordship lane se22 (has room upstairs) east dulwich constitutional hall - on melbourne grove or east dulwich grove i think st thomas more hall on lordship lane st clements with st peters church has a hall for hire too (on friern road se22) christ church on barry rd se22 holds many classes for kids too, so worth checking their availability dulwich park has the francis peek centre which holds kids classes/baby groups good luck.
  16. would love to come to this. my little one sleeps till 10.30am so could it not be too early please if at all possible (as we seem to miss most things due to his weord schedule!) would barry rd christ church cafe be any good (i've never been there but it apparently has a child friendly cafe? any thoughts on it?) or duwlich park cafe? still trying to get my 9 mth old to like lumpy food!!!
  17. you could try giving john lewis a call and see if they can point you in the right direction. they always try to be very helpful and they have a nursery advisory section. good luck.
  18. they look ultra comfy! wish i'd had one but no room...
  19. i would say the peckham rye one o clock club too - there's a soft play area for pre-18-monthers. lots of toys to play with and things to do.
  20. dulwich library takes books sometimes, but they get a bit inundated they tell me! st christophers charity shop on lordship lane has a kids book section so they would take them (you might want to ring though before you take them to make sure they are taking donations that day as they get full up too).
  21. yes thanks to ruth for organising! was great to meet you guys x
  22. ok, i've got black hair just past my shoulders and i'll probably look a bit knackered!!!
  23. bt one is very good. you can turn off the temp alert by changing the temp range (so increase it higher). i know where my instruction booklet is if you want me to bring it along tonight to the forum meetup (one of the only instruction booklets i know the location of so that i can change the temp thing which drives me potty!!!)+
  24. they grow out of them so fast! i am constantly trying to keep on top of it and failing!!!
  25. would love to come along to this too. looking forward to meeting some more local mums x
