  1. True, there was an awful lot of rain but the flooding seems worse than before all the work started!
  2. Does anyone know of a pop choir for children anywhere near to East Dulwich/Peckham/Forest Hill? There seem to be lots of adult choirs about but I can't find anything for kids. They used to run an after school pop choir at school but don't seem to be offering it right now. Any options would be warmly welcome for my very musically keen 6 year old. Many thanks
  3. If anyone needs a really great reliable cleaner, our lovely Susan has availability. She's very trustworthy, honest and brilliant and is good at just knowing what needs doing. Please give her a call on: 07506173813. I am happy to give references as well.

    Local Podiatrist

Try Kennington Chiropody if you need a same day appointment. The podiatrist there is absolutely lovely and does a great job. You can get over there easily on the 185 bus. http://kenningtonchiropodysurgery.co.uk All details on website.
  5. This is a little random. I know that there are lots of ex-forumites who have moved out to Berkhamsted and surrounds. My brother and family are living up that way and have found themselves in a situation where they urgently need a nanny/childminder. Can anyone help? Many thanks
  6. http://www.hotelparismaraisbretonnerie.com/hotel-marais/fr/ Have a look at Hotel Bretonnerie which is in the Marais. It's not uber flash but it has huge charm/character and you can go for a more upmarket junior suite if you so desired. Have had several amazing and memorable stays here over the years.
  7. I urgently need one of these for tomorrow! I ordered a bespoke yellow cape so that my daughter could be a 1966 batgirl on her birthday tomorrow but it would seem that this cape is not now going to arrive in time. Gah! Does anyone either have one we could borrow or know of anywhere that might sell them. I believe that Robin wears a yellow cape if anyone had one of these. Thanks so much!
  8. Thanks so much. Picked it up this morning. Cheers.
  9. Anyone seen a size 7 1/2 blue boy's shoe with a dinosaur on it? It was dropped somewhere around Lordship Lane/North Cross Road yesterday. Any info would be very welcome. Thanks
  10. Hi, not getting a good vibe from Goose Green here. No viewings until September and website down. I got hold of a welcome pack from a friend who had been on a previous visit which was quite frankly fairly useless. I thought they were supposed to be improving this school...
  11. If anyone finds a very dirty looking small brown Steiff bear, please please let me know! He was lost this afternoon somewhere in East Dulwich but quite probably around the area of Ondine/Marsden/Oglander Roads. We are desperate to find him. Thanks
  12. Absolutely anyone can go. No need to call and book - just turn up.
  13. Ooops, it's on this Saturday!
  14. A really informative talk for those wishing to find out about all aspects of home birthing given by two really great midwives. They normally also have people there who have recently been through the experience. If you're still not sure to go for the home birth, then this could be really helpful for you. Start: 10am Where: Midwives Centre, Bavent Road, SE5 (just off Coldharbour Lane)
  15. Help! My little one's most favourite teddy has disappeared. I'm sure he was left in the kitchen this morning but he does often get picked up and carried in the buggy when we go out. I'm just wondering if he's been seen or found around the streets of ED/Peckham this morning. He's a rather battered and grubby looking Steiff bear with "my first steiff" stamped on his right foot. Any news would be great! In the meantime, I'm trying to track a new one down locally but no where seems to stock them. We've already had a very upsetting nap time! Thanks!>:D<
  16. Hi! I'm on my 2nd as well and would love to come along on the 29th to meet up with you all.
  17. What sort of therapy are you in need of, KirstyAsh?
  18. I did some work at the Half Moon Montessori in Herne Hill and thought it was fab. The staff are really lovely and the environment very friendly. Will definitely be sending my little one there when she gets to that stage.
