  1. Hi there, I would be interested in this but your link does not work. I can point you in the direction of some good coding lessons if you want?
  2. As alternative there's an old style sweetshop in Forest Hill - Sugar Mountain
  3. It's a Scam(pi)
  4. what sort of "medicinal herbs" are there? will I need some non-denominational chocolate eggs to satisfy my hunger afterward?
  5. You got the first letter right
  6. Hi if you can then go for the projector, how textured is the wallpaper? The wall does not need to be white, if you get a bright enough projector then actually a darker wall works out better because if you have any ambient light in the room then the picture can seem washed out. Aim to get a projector over 2000 lumens in brightness. And use a short throw one if possible this allows you to put it close to the wall and still get a large image. Optima do some decent ones for low cost. Make sure you factor in the price of replacement lamps these usually last about 2000 hours
  7. FFS another one duped by 'sports' label, these tend to be full of sugar and salt so not a great alternative to drinking fizzy drinks. I'm thinking of bringing out some new supplements 'diet heroin' and 'organic mdma' form an orderly queue
  8. having installed most of the above, i would avoid the Free stick if possible, especially if you intend to load any additional apps on it. they tend to get very slow and unresponsive after a while, the fire TV box runs much better. the Now TV boxes are roku based and have all of the freeview etc apps. they only cost about ?15 and you sometime get deals with free sky movies for a couple of months with them
  9. about 8 years ago I was in the LL Co-op's previous incarnation (Somerfield?) I saw one of 90s kids favourites Trevor and Simon at the customer service till complaining that he'd been charged full price for a baguette that had been marked down. It was disheartening that the once loved entertainer was now quite literally on the bread line.
  10. I would recommend The Gardens, the doctors there are great and they have some late evenings, the reception staff are variable but these days I seem to find all doctors and dentists seem to employ people least suited to customer facing roles.
  11. i think most card readers are interchangeable these days, so you may not need nat west one, i use a barclays for my lloyds account.
  12. If your tv has a hdmi input then you can use many different devices to stream, Apple TV, roku, Amazon fire stick. If you only have scart input there are still some roku boxes that will work with an adaptir cable
  13. there has been an increase in thieves using key blockers, these devices stop your key being able to transmit properly to the car so if you press the lock button on the key it's worth double checking the doors are locked
  14. For food I'd recommend you have a quick look on Chowhound.com really good resource for planning when traveling If you want a burger try the Black Label at the Minetta Tavern A place I always recommend is the Tenement Museum it's a fascinating building that has recreated the conditions immigrents lived in through three different time periods. Also if you have time I'd try to take in a food walking tour, there are various ones with an multi cultural slant that will take in the East Village, china town, Little Italy etc and give great history lessons whilst tasting bits and pieces on the way. Always a fun way to start the trip and help you work out the orientation of all of the neighbourhoods. have a great trip, I'm jealous.
  15. Reminds me of a development we worked on years ago. A property writer for the Standard bought a flat in it. Strangely there were a huge amount of positive articles in the paper about the area for a while.
  16. If you have an amazon prime account yourself you can give him login details as you can stream on up to two devices simultaneously. they have a discounted yearly subscription available for the next few days. it's worth it if you order a lot on amazon, you also get amazon music which is similar to spotify included.
  17. Overreacting to giving children in hospital sweets at Christmas = Smugness.. Sanctimonious posturing Friend loss.. unhappiness Serious risk of Christmas alone in later life As far as I understand it, they are not funnelling Quality Streets down kids throats to create Nutella Foie Gras. I am sure their parents will be around and maybe some doctors who might even sneak a segment of chocolate orange, do you know I once met a doctor who admitted to drinking ALCOHOL over the Christmas period. I of course informed the police and wrote to my MP. So enjoy your Bah Humbug and M&S Christmas crackers for one. I'll certainly be donating now
  18. No Escher, think Rolf Harris more likely
  19. The Beckham's weren't the first to do it, that was Van Morrison's parents
  20. that card seems to be part Breaking Bad, part The Road nice
  21. Most I've stayed in do have security deposit included but it's not debited from you unless there's damage and even then only if you accept the damage has been done. if you don't accept then it goes through the airbnb resolution centre and they investigate further
  22. As it's a gift for both of them maybe get them something to do with Tin Tin?
  23. Talking of classic movies, Kes is on at the picture house tomorrow
