  1. Thank you for the warning
  2. So happy for you and of course for Cheetah.
  3. The 37 and the P4 are surely the worst buses in the area but I have always found the 176 reasonably reliable. What is annoying is that 1. Buses wait ?to regularise the service? or as happened to me once, to allow the driver to pop into the newsagents opposite East Dulwich Station to buy a chocolate bar. 2. When stops are closed because of roadworks, for example, they used to set up a temporary stop nearby but now they just go to the next bus stop which is often quite a long way ahead.
  4. From the police ?Subject: Catalytic converters thefts There has been a number of catalytic converters stolen from cars recently, especially from the Toyota Prius model. Could you send this out to your residents for them to be aware and take measures if they can to stop this.?
  5. This comes from Neighbourhood watch ?I am sorry to tell you that suspects unknown have made multiple applications for bank cards from one bank for addresses in the Dulwich area. These have been flagged up with the bank as they had been used previously for similar purposes. Because of this the bank has not issued the cards. Addresses used range from Calton Avenue/Turney Road up to Rosendale Rd/Great Brownings. PCDaniel McLynn has been in contact with Royal Mail investigations about this. A man and a woman have tried to intercept mail for 3 addresses in the village by pretending to be residents. The post people have stuck to their training(which had been reinforced earlier this year) and refused to hand over any mail. PC McLynn said that at this stage it looks as if the suspects are working independently and are not thought to be linked to the Royal Mail. The suspects seen so far have been described as a man and a woman, possibly of Nigerian origin. Unfortunately there are no further descriptions of them. The woman was seen to get into a car and drive off when a postman refused to hand over post. Unfortunately he did not get the car registration. If you see anything suspicious, or experience anyone trying to get post before it is delivered please make a description of the person and get a car registration if they drive off in a car.?
  6. I have just sen your post with the photos of your cat. It is not the same cat. Sorry. I hope you soon find your cat.
  7. I never kept it. It comes into the garden regularly. It looks well. Is it yours?
  8. I would second the recommendation for Sureflap. When ours wasn?t working they sent spare parts and advice and followed that up with a replacement catflap
  9. I am also totally opposed to any change to the 40 bus route.

  11. Stuck recently for many hours in King?s A and E and getting really hungry, I was grateful when my son ordered for me, from North Wales where he lives, a Franco Manca pizza which arrived within 15 minutes of being ordered.
  12. Thanks for that link. You can follow Stik on Facebook. I do.
  13. Great news that he has been found.
  14. I have seen the lorries parked on the pedestrian crossing on Lordship Lane outside Marks and Spencer and also at the bus stop.
  15. We had a postal delivery today, Sunday.
  16. A young black cat with a small white marking on its chest keeps coming into our house in Beauval Road. I would just like to be sure it is simply greedy or bored rather than being lost. Is it your cat?
  17. If they still offer work experience placements the police were good for our sons and offered going to court, police horse and police dog training etc. But this was many moons ago.
  18. We have had a small parcel never arrive but I don?t know if it got as far as the delivery office.
  19. I was suggesting a bus because you could take the wheelchair on it. But if there are additional problems maybe you could go back to your GP and get them to arrange transport for you. Good luck.
  20. Sorry meant to write bus. I went there years ago when it was a walk in centre but I had multiple broken bones in a foot and could not walk. hope you can find a solution.
  21. Could you travel by be s perhaps
  22. Was in South Kensington today and visited the Royal Trinity Hospice shop there which, I notice, has beautiful good quality shirts for men for ?12. I think locally in East Dulwich you should probably be paying less.
  23. The Cancer Research shop in Butterfly walk Camberwell sometimes has very nice things. There is a Trinity Hospice shop opposite it and a Crisis shop and Scope nearby. But for really great charity shops go to an upmarket area, Blackheath for example, or Chelsea.
  24. There is a recycling bin in M and S Lordship Lane.
