  1. I have also emailed Mark Williams. Perhaps if enough people contact him today he might look again at the proposals.

So despite the fact that I was born and raised in South London and have spent a very large part of my life in South London, that I worked in South London and also did voluntary work in Dulwich and that I have actually been living in East Dulwich since early 1987, I am a blow in.
  3. I agree, please go to an animal charity. There are so many lovely adult cats and kittens needing good homes.
  4. Give that the planning site has been down on a couple of occasions for some time so that people could not post any comments and that all the previous comments were seemingly wiped from it, perhaps it would be worth asking for an extension of the consultation period.
  5. I too felt very patronised by Laurie. She made me want to scream. I would hope everyone locally cares for the safety of the children as well as considering the safety of cyclists and pedestrians, young or old. That is why many of us opposed the suggestions which would have increased dangers for everyone in other local roads by encouraging rat running by motor vehicles trying to find quicker ways through Dulwich and increasing pollution at the junction as vehicles wait to get through it.
  6. Brio train set. Can become a family heirloom.

  8. A few years ago I had an arch support made by Merrifield shoe repairer in Grove Vale. It cured my plantar fasciitis.

    Cat flu

If your cats are microchipped you can buy a sureflap which will only let your own cats into the house. Expensive compared to a standard cat flap but really work well.

    Nearest Costa

Cheers for Costa who pay all their taxes, I believe.
  11. James I really admire you for working on this at such a late time on a Saturday night!
  12. After my visit to the parish hall session this morning I am very pleased to see there is a proper cycle path, separate from the footpath for pedestrians. However, I remain concerned that the pedestrian pavement running next to the designated cycle path is neither wide enough in places, nor has it been differentiated properly from the cycle path. People who are blind or who have reduced sight will not realise where the footpath ends and the cycle path begins. I do not think people with disabilities should be put at danger and I am sure cyclists would not wish to knock down someone who has walked onto the cycle path. And as the footpath is fairly narrow, schoolchildren, chatting together as they walk in groups at times of peak use, will almost certainly stray onto the cycle path. Dangerous for both cyclists and pedestrians.
  13. You have explained everything very clearly Slarti b. Thank you. By the way, I had not realised that AECCOM is the well known Southwark favourite Conway wearing a different hard hat. Enough said.
  14. Thank you for your helpful explanations Tessmo. All the acronyms are especially baffling. I am intending to go to the drop in session on Saturday and hope to turn into a planning expert once I have seen Southwark's display.

    Naming Help

Fasta pasta? But I wouldn't be buying it.
  16. I have huge concerns about the new proposals. However the thread here is getting much too technical for me. I would love to offer help and support but I don't understand the terminology. Of course I very much appreciate the efforts of those local people who do, and who know all the acronyms.

Grotti risotti is perfect. Cooked al (false?) dente maybe.
  18. Is it a glitch or has everything been removed?

    Pot noodles?
  20. Think an item on this was on the lunchtime BBC television news today. I just caught some of it.
  21. Given that all roads in Southwark will now have a 20mph speed limit, is there any way of slowing down the mail vans which have always been driven well above the old speed limit and which still race from postbox to postbox to collect mail at speeds well over 30 let alone 20mph. Speed humps do not deter them. Can you have a word with the Sylvester Road sorting office please?
  22. Google "railway cottage London" and you will find quite a few examples of Victorian railway workers' cottages although I didn't see any exactly like the East Dulwich ones.
  23. British heart foundation will collect furniture to sell in their shops (though my experience of a non local branch when clearing my late parents' house was not great at all. They twice failed to come on the agreed day. Brixton branch in Acre Lane, might be better though). Emmaus in west Norwood used to collect and may still do so.
