  1. Sainsburys DKH also sell challah bread rolls in packs of four from the in store bakery.
  2. Oh that's a lovely story.
  3. If you try "Southwark Council trees" you will come up with a number. I hope it will be what you are looking for.
  4. Assume you have tried contacting all the local vets and cat rescues? Hope you find him soon.
  5. Bob Buzzard Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > People in ED should be cycling like in the > Netherlands instead of getting buses. But not everyone is able to cycle. They may have health problems or they might have babies or small children with them. Public transport is still very much needed.
  6. Does anyone know if the incidents in Woodwarde Road, Beauval Road and Court Lane were linked in any way?
  7. I believe a cat was killed in Ruislip the other day. There was also one in Chislehurst which might or might not fit the pattern of other killings. You can find out more from SNARL who are logging these incidents. They are on Facebook.

    Bin woes

That one looks pretty and practical. How would it work for a rubbish (green) bin, a recycling one and a brown garden waste one.
  9. I see the Museum has a display about the Aylesbury Estate opening on 5th April. Might interest those of us who live In Southwark.

    Bin woes

Wouldn't that design (though really attractive) mean you would need to pull the bin right out of the cupboard every time you wants to put some rubbish or recycling into it and then push it back? Quite difficult, specially when the bin gets full, and therefore heavy.
  11. The museum itself has a very nice cafe.
  12. So pleased to read this. I hope these pretty and historic homes are now saved.
  13. This was also in the local paper.
  14. When I went there the tea was lukewarm and the pretty but very small cup not very full either. I never went back.
  15. I think it is unlikely East Dulwich Station could ever look as great as the Oval underground station which is very clean, has pot plants, soothing music and a bookcase where you can leave books you have read and take others. Almost the worst thing about East Dulwich is the big gap between the platform and the train. So difficult to get on the train if you are less mobile or have luggage, shopping, a pram or buggy etc. But your idea is a good one and I wish you luck with it.
  16. The Beaux arts museum in Lille is good and you can easily get to Roubaix from there and see La Piscine gallery.
  17. The petition mentions a total of five cats killed in the Croydon area. As far as I understand it, the total is lots higher.
  18. Perhaps ask everyone to post something on Facebook etc. Good idea to try and get vets, pet shops etc to put up posters. Libraries and supermarkets might be willing to put up a poster as well. I did put something on E D forum when the nearest incident was in West Norwood but my post was lounged. Now it is happening right in East Dulwich I hope more people can be made aware of this.
  19. According to an article in the Guardian today "Anyone with information is asked call police on 101, the RSPCA on 0300 123 8018, or Crimestoppers anonymously. Those who find an animal in the area that has been attacked can call Snarl on 07957 830490".
  20. People who find a cat with this kind of mutilation are asked to inform the police.

  22. What will happen once all or nearly all the houses in a road have front garden parking and dropped kerbs. Where do tradespeople, delivery vans or friends park when they visit? I am surprised the Council allows front garden parking at all, especially when the car parked there is often longer than the garden and juts out into the pavement area. Is this allowed I wonder. Do regulations state that the front garden parking area must allow rain to drain away and if so is this ruling enforced? Lots of front gardens seem to be paved or concreted over completely.
