  1. About 2 years ago I switched to only eating red meat once a week, and eating a lot more salad. When I had my last health check last August I was told my good cholesterol had gone up, my bad cholesterol had gone down. I have also noticed I no longer suffer from acid reflux which had bothered me for years previously ......

  10. I had a load of Sainsburys coat hangers so gave them to Customer Services at the Dogkennel Hill store, so they can be re-used ......

  12. I am not a pet owner and think it is a much larger issue than the distress caused to pets. What about the damage to wildlife, and pollution of the air. Not to mention the amount of time A&E wards have to spend on dealing with accidents .......

  15. Looking for some advice about braces for teeth :) My top front teeth have become more crooked over the years and I am thinking of getting some braces fitted. Does anyone have any experience of the new invisible braces or the old-fashioned metal type? Length of time they take to work, comfort, cost etc. Grateful for any advice / recommendations Many thanks Annie

  22. I have never driven a car. But I find this kind of cycling behaviour very dangerous; people cycling without helmets, children perched on crossbars, children in flimsy carts behind the cyclist (which means the cyclist has no view of what is happening to the cart). If they are so worried about pollution and the environment why don't they walk to school? Much safer and less exposure to exhaust fumes. Also means the children will be fitter and stronger. My mother walked us to / from school for years.

Exactly. Whereas what happened was the bottles were thrown into the street bins or on the floor after the event, so a lot of people were not recycling them .....
