Sorry to miss today and elizabeth that did make me chuckle sorry! My toddler doing really well at potty training but it's crippled me and unfortunately flared up all my old spd problems so am in agony. My mum on her way up to help and hoping physio can fix things so I can make next week. Am feeling a tad jinxed at the mo! -

I used to go last time around and loved it. Did both Peckham and dulwich and Liz is fantastic. Quite keen to make some Monday ones and tempted to try a thursday one with both kids but can't imagine it working too well! -
I've been meaning to post on here as was inspired by my great friend pebbles on here who has lost an amazing amount of weight and looks incredible. I was really unsure about using ww as normally never diet and do heaps of sport but having a troublesome recovery after baby number 2. Have to say the iPhone app is amazing and makes it so easy but also going to an official weigh in makes it more real somehow. 4 weeks in and I've lost 10 lbs so far and really haven't started exercising much. Well done to everyone on here as reading all the tips and so many success stories definitely inspires me to keep at it.

Just wanted to say thanks for the fantastic tip off about the Beckford Arms in Tisbury. Was the perfect place to stop and they are so child friendly, really made the journey down easy. -

Hey ladies Was hoping to come this week but back from a disastrous holiday where my toddler was so ill he was hospitalised for half the week. On the mend now but he's not in nursery this week and need to keep him under close surveillance. Hope to see you all at a meet up soon. Xx -
Apologies for a rather random post but wondering if anyone might have some tips. We are driving down to Padstow in Cornwall this week and looking to split up the journey for a few hours so that our toddler can have a run around and I can feed the baby! We are going the A303 route as leaving from my parents place in Surrey and so I was originally thinking Stonehege but the weather is now looking appalling so am searching around for somewhere else. Many thanks if anyone has any ideas!

Sorry to miss you yesterday, sounds like a lovely park morning. Fridays normally great for me with both boys but am holiday for the next few weeks so will have to join when we get back. In terms of water, I have been giving Sam some on the really hot days, a couple of ounces in the afternoon kind of between milk feeds. My dad is a GP and it's on his advice. Also been keeping him I just a nappy and he is sleeping with a 0.5 tog sleeping bag on. It's th flipping car seat I can't bear which makes him so sweaty. Hope to see you all in a few weeks Xx -

Hey Great to see you all today. Jayne I'd definitely be up for this and can help with some core stability stuff from all my physio and Pilates. Tues mornings sound good, Fridays I would have toddler in tow but that could add to the exercise...... Spoke to my Pilates lady this afternoon and there are still spaces on the next courses coming up. Here is the web link http://www.jellybellypt.com/ and if you follow the links to locations that has course timings for c section and normal recovery. Xx -

Congrats Olivia and Emily. Emily did the Tens machine help? Nikki and Jane had no idea your boys also had tongue ties. Crazy how common this is. Both my boys had them. First son diagnosed late at 6 weeks and did take a while after the snip, he had to relearn how to feed basically but did get it but unfortunately he had already done me some mega damage. Sam's one is far less severe and they didn't actually snip it. In terms of feeding, my toddler was also a nightmare in the early weeks, clambering all over me and attention seeking but is better now he is used to it and quite helpful at times (sam is 9 weeks now)Tried to time feeds with his meals, snacks etc and used lots of cbeebies, iPhone or iPad apps etc. 5-7 time is still tough but there was a great thread on here a while back about good routines. I just make sure that I have my toddlers milk, pj s etc all ready in the bathroom and then try and bundle both boys out and give them milk ASAP otherwise get total meltdown from both! Hope to make this Tuesday as keep missing them! X -

Hi ladies We can't make today as got my toddlers nursery parents meeting then! Was wondering if any of you fancied meeting up next Monday morning at cafe Proven?al in herne hill. Very feeding friendly and toddler friendly and on the no 37 bus route from ed. Jo and laura hope you had a better evening. I was up most of the night with my Sam having been feeling rather smug about his sleeping and he is being mega clingy today. Over my third coffee of the morning ism repeating 'it's just a phase, it gets easier!'. Perhaps it's the 6 week growth spurt or something? All the best J -
Hi Amy I just had a few extra thoughts that may help you as we are in a similar situation. We are going to a 'no kids' wedding this weekend and have a 6 week old and a toddler. Nthe bride and groom are very close friends and have made an exception for our baby and other young babies. They didn't specify on the invite but spoke to us all individually. Their view was they would rather have us there with a baby than not but if they invited all the children their numbers would go up by about 40! I was wondering if it was worth you or hubby speaking directly to the groom as his mother may be expressing her opinion but not the couples? I've expressed on a couple of hen do s in the past over a day and a half and sat with friends at weddings in various rooms/bathrooms whilst they've expressed to keep up milk supply. Generally been a 'pump and dump' as drinking. It's a bit of a faff but not too bad and my breast pump fits into a small handbag fine. Like many others have said, I think each couple are entitled to their own wishes on the day but if they are good friends most will be understanding. Often people who don't have kids don't realise how very hard it is to leave a v young baby, for breast feeding mums and also have no idea about childcare. For a weekend wedding, leaving children with your family is often the only option and not everyone is lucky enough to have that option. We had a couple of weddings last year where our parents couldn't help us out and spoke to the bride/groom directly and asked if ok to bring our son. If not, one of us was v happy to stay behind but both fronds were happy to have him there. Was v hard work for us chasing him him around at the reception and both times spent most of the ceremony in the graveyard but we were so pleased to be a part of their day. We have 10 weddings this year and most are kid free. There is only so much we can ask of our parents childcare-wise but we will do our best to make each one way or another. Again having spoken to most of the couples they will make exceptions. We invited 30 children to our wedding and the extra cost was minimal as the caterers charged v little for a kids meal but maybe we were lucky and did have a lot of space. In the end most of our friends left their kids behind but those with little babies and no childcare options were able to all make it which was fab. Really hope you find a happy solution. Ruth- so outrageous about your side room!

Hi Hollie Good luck with it all, it is very daunting and scary but you will be in great hands and I'm sure all your experience will pay off. It's hard to reply to all the posts as so sleep deprived and babies arriving so fast, I think a few more have come in the last days! I've been in and out of kings as wrenched my c sec carrying my toddler. They were worried it was a hernia but hopefully just torn muscles. It's so hard to rest though and for a toddler to understand. I've ended up showing him my tummy and he's now telling everyone that a man has cut me, which I suppose is true but sounds dodgy. Hope all the new mums are doing well and things are slowly getting easier and congrats to you all Nicki I would definitely be up for a catch up, let me know where. Are you bringing your toddler? Goodness how many of our babies our Tongue tied? My sam also is as was his brother. We've not had the snip this time though as he's happy on the bottle but am amazed by the high number. It often seems to be in the early babies. We re at a wedding on the 14th (ambitiously taking Sam!) but see some of you tomorrow at bumps and babes. Lots of parking there at st faiths on red post hill, 9.30 till 11.30 and bumps very welcome as well as babies! Xx -

Congrats Laura and great name! I might make the park tom although I've totally overdone it lifting my toddler and really hurt my scar so not sure if I can walk that far again yet. Am pottering around in herne hill ok so if any of the herne hill mums are up and about let me know. Rosie I'll take Sam to bumps and babes on Friday, we went the other week and it's so lovely. 9.30 till 11.30 although sometimes not on in the holidays. -
Many thanks ladies. It sounds like several of us felt ok at 3 weeks but obviously shouldn't have been lifting. I gues s that first time around it was just lifting a newborn so we didn't notice. I already feel a bit better after a few days of not lifting but husband back to work this week so going to have to do a bit. Cg and pommei I hope you recover soon too and thanks to you all for the advice. X

Hiya, Just wondering if any of you ladies that have had c sections 2nd or 3rd time around have coped with toddlers. I am 3 weeks post-op and managed to totally overdo it this week mainly in my excitement to lift and play with my toddler again. Feel like I have regressed back to week one and am really sore. I don't think it's any thing serious, more just pulled my tummy muscles but am now wondering how long I should wait to do lifting, is 6 weeks about the right mark did you find? Many thanks Jenny
