Hi all, Having a bit of a clear out of my boys? things and we have a lot of Lego that is no longer used. I was wondering if anyone knew of any nurseries or primary schools that might be interested in it. I?m not sure I?ve got the instructions for a lot of the kits which is why I thought it might be more useful to top up a big box of Lego in a school/nursery. Do get in touch if you think it might be of use.

Hi there, I was wondering if as a community we can support the NHS staff in our area and how best we could coordinate this. My sister and partner are both A and E Drs in the West Country and pulling long shifts and then finding it hard to buy food which I imagine is the case for some of our NHS families here. Perhaps a group of us could help with food shopping, even dropping off meals for our NHS staff. I know there are already groups reaching out for those self isolating and our more elderly neighbours but thought this could be a useful thing for us to do. Am trying to think how we could best coordinate this and how we can reach out to those that need a hand. I have a friend at Kings who is going to reach out to colleagues there but any other suggestions would be great.

Entertaining a 4 yr old with broken collar bone

Just wanted to say thanks so much for all the suggestions. We are just back from going on the boat and cable car at North Greenwich. Was brilliant fun and so quiet, we got a capsule to ourselves just as you said! We've also been to the Horniman, woods and CP dinosaurs which kept everyone busy. The biggest challenge is stopping my two year old from tugging at my eldests sling and wanting rough and tumble and being a generally boisterous 2 year old boy! Plus the 4 year old keeps forgetting he is injured and so is still climbing things. Best tactic at the moment is painting his toe nails whilst watching Frozen which I am also enjoying! Meant to say in first post as well that Kings were outstanding both in a and e and fracture clinic. So lucky to have them on our doorstep. -
Entertaining a 4 yr old with broken collar bone

My son broke his collar bone yesterday one week before his 4th birthday and I was wondering if anyone had been through a similar experience and had any advice to give. He has a very boisterous 2 year old brother and is normally very sporty himself. Am wondering how to keep him entertained for the rest of the holidays. We need to avoid playgrounds and busy places but also have a two yea old in tow which makes things like cinema trips less easy. Was thinking horniman and Vauxhall city farm great options but can anyone think of any others? Many thanks in advance -
Lovely new kids theatre production on now

I took my two boys (3 and 1) today and it was fab. I'd really recommend it to all. Little babies were loving it as were pre schoolers. -
SelfCatering in Cronwall - near the beach?
Countjc replied to Susan's topic in The Family Room Discussion
The olde house is fantastic. We've been there the last two years with our 1 and 3 yr old boys. Fantastic for the kids as they can feed the animals, there's a pool, soft play barn and a huge playground. We sent a lot to daymer bay which is about a 10 min drive away. Love it so much we've already booked next year! Have a great trip. -
Hiya We took our to to The Olde House near Padstow last year and are going back again this year. http://www.theoldehouse.co.uk/ I've had a few emails saying still cottages available. It's great as there are sandy beaches nearby and the farm has a pool, soft play etc

We just put up an 8 footer after loving pebbles and a few other forumites trampolines. I was worried it might take over our garden nut we still have heaps of space and I'm getting a massive work out each day. We got an Atlantic Trampoline make as we could get a roof over the top as its under a big tree so we didn't want to get branches etc on it. We also bought a 14 footer from them for our place down in France and it is huge but can fit loads of us on it!

Hi everyone Thanks so much for the tips. I've gone for the Yepp back bike seat, as he's too big for the wee ride seat, and a basket for now. The guys at BC bikes were superstars at fitting it all and making sure a stand could work. I think I may need to add front panniers at some point as I often need to transfer lots of books from work but I'll see how I manage with the basket for now. Thanks again

hiya Just wondering if anyone has heard of or used any tailors that can turn a wedding dress into a normal dress? OR if not where is it best to sell a dress? many thanks

Hiya Just wondering if any of you cyclists could give me some advice about biking my toddler around with my work stuff. I'm about to get him a bike seat for the back of my bike ( he currently goes on a wee ride on the front of my husbands). I'm going to need to be able to carry my work stuff too so thinking either a basket or front panniers. Just wondering what other people use and how they find the balance? Many thanks
