I called Joseph earlier today to ask if he could help move quite a lot of large items tonight. He was great - came when he said he would, with a great van. He was really helpful and picked up all the items, then delivered them carefully after the 1.5 hours drive to their destination. I highly recommend Joseph if you need any removals carried out, of any items at all...a really helpful, smooth service - Thanks, Joseph!

I have just had Nikolay prepare, sand, fill and varnish all the wooden floors in our house. He was keen to talk through the job and our wishes for the finished effect, he had positive suggestions / options regarding budget and finished effect. Nikolay and his team were very professional - knowledgeable, caring of our property, tidy and a pleasure to have around. He kept to time and communicated well throughout the job. I would have no hesitation about recommending him to anyone looking for floor sanding. His contact number is: 07821827663

Hi Dulwichwanderer, We are also looking for an LVT floor layer. Are you still pleased with your floor? Does Grant have a website please / how did you find him? Thank you. Ed.

I'm planning a house refurbishment and needed some advice for how best to take the most affordable steps to improve our EPC rating - David from Ergon Energy was brilliant with his very practical, informative, fact based advice. Highly recommended! https://www.checkatrade.com/trades/ergonenergy

Another recommendation for Roger & Eliot from Critter Solutions - both very well informed and practical, caring professionals. Excellent feedback from them, with experience based advice. Very pleased to have found them. -

I used Steve to fix my washing machine a couple of years ago - he was prompt and reasonably priced - and the machine's been working perfectly since. I'd lost his number, so glad to have found this post, just in case! -
Hi Sem, Please would you PM me your price list too? Thanks!

Hi Steve - Yes, I've used Freecycle Lambeth for years (most recently having three sets of people collect items this weekend!) It's great - such a good idea - happy freecycling!

Local Skills Swop Scheme?
ed neighbour replied to ed neighbour's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi Peckham Rose, and others - Thanks for your enthusiasm! I agree with you that there are lots of possibilities that would benefit many in the community, as well as spreading the community spirit itself - but also issues / difficulties to be considered - Hence call for anyone with experience in this area to get in touch, please. If admin would consider a separate section, in principle at least, it would be great to hear from you too - but I think that the various issues need careful consideration first. Do get in touch if you feel you can help / advise - thanks all! -
Local Skills Swop Scheme?

Thanks JMT - that sounds interesting. I have PM'd you! I think that the idea has both problems and possibilities associated with it = anyone else with any personal experience of being a member of such a scheme, or who would possibly be interested in joining? -
Local Skills Swop Scheme?
ed neighbour replied to ed neighbour's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanis for this, Help-Ma-Boab - so, mixed feelings! I'd looked at the schemes recommended already, but they don't seem very active in this area - any other views on this, or thoughts about how it could work as a simple system? -
Does anybody know of a local skills swop / exchange scheme - or would anybody be interested in starting one??
