  1. Good evening DM, you are looking fab this evening. Is that a new outfit? Asset has a bottle of Krug on ice if you are interested
  2. *Ah, fair enough. Forgot what room I was in for a second. Changes into snuggly warm sweater dress and climbs aboard*
  3. *Hey - the ice rink has melted and the forest has gone! DM, that must have been some powerful grenade. Mr. Popadopolus, that must have been some powerful laxative.* *Clicks fingers and magics up some wetsuits and jetskis - who's on for some fun in the water?*
  4. *BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!* *Oh dear, leaving quiet room for the night...*
  5. *YIKES!!! Gets off the ice and crouches behind large sofa. Puts up umbrella...*
  6. *Oooh, tangerine! Fabulous!* *Hello, hello to all* *Brandy in hot chocolate is making it difficult to complete double axles*
  7. I too am spending first Christmas in ED. I reckon Lordship Lane and the queue outside William Rose will be entertainment enough! Does anyone know if any of the pubs are open for a traditional "half" on Christmas Day morning?
  8. *tiptoes into quiet room for first time* *bleary eyed from too many nights reading about quiet room* *opens curtains to reveal glittery winter wonderland with alpine forest, snow and ice rink* *does twirl and changes into sparkly red ice skating costume* *performs triple salco, double toe loop before heading to bar and making frothy hot chocolates (with tia maria) as peace / hello offerings for DM and Michael*
  9. Why are you all supporting these guys?! Come on East Dulwichers. I reckon we should agree among ourselves the top three estate agents in ED, only use them and ignore the others. Then hopefully the rest will move on and we will have more interesting shops on our high street. My heart sinks every time you think a new shop is opening, only to find it's another estate agent. Where's the good local italian restaurant? The bistro?

  11. Wow, I never knew there were two types of Tayto crisp. Are the ones in the shop the "free state" or the other version? How interesting.
  12. Yay! I'm just so happy that I got so many replies to my first post! I love the Irish shop - go there regularly for my Barry's tea. I also have a strange fondness for the Peckham Rye Irish festival - what is it with those wigs the Irish dancers wear now? Anyway, glad to know there's so many of you out there. By the way, I also consider myself a true Londoner - been here five years and love this place (and ED).
  13. I guessed that! And a prolific EDF poster too!
  14. I've long been a surfer of the EDF, but finally got around to signing up. I pick up a fair few comments from people who must be Irish - how many of us are there out there?
