  1. FOUND: Young cat / kitten near East Dulwich Station (no microchip). Can’t find any corresponding ‘missing’ posts so sharing here in the hope we can reunite it with it’s owner.
  2. Wands have been installed now.
  3. World Car Free Day is on Sunday 22nd September. I notice that Southwark Council is encouraging residents to hold play streets or street parties that weekend, a great opportunity to meet neighbours and socialise. Application details - https://www.southwark.gov.uk/events-culture-and-heritage/events/planning-an-event/car-free-day-2024?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=Orlo
  4. The criticism of the council in this matter is a little unfair. The physic garden was ‘retained’ as promised by the medical centre during consultation. They provided the planters outside, which admittedly are different to how it was, but is what they’d always said they’d provide. If anyone wants to take on gardening them I’m sure they’d be knocking on an open door.
  5. The Department of Health has issued a high pollution alert for London tomorrow and Saturday meaning more people than average will have asthma attacks, strokes, heart attacks and suffer from breathing difficulties https://twitter.com/lb_southwark/status/1699721108872667351?s=20 If you can avoid it, please don't pollute the air we all share.
  6. A few available slots for the start of the new school term for anyone thinking of trying a bike trailer for the first time to get about. https://www.hernehillforum.org.uk/chariots-of-fun/
  7. No need to surpress anything, there is a lounge for non East Dulwich related items, the Dulwich Village LTN is already being discussed there. Suggest you keep your comments ‘on topic’ rather than making personal slights as to how desperate / scared / annoyed or otherwise I am.
  8. This doesn’t relate to the East Dulwich LTN, it’s Dulwich Village (again, yawn) so should be lounged.
  9. Pedestrians are so annoying, wish everyone would just travel by car then we wouldn't have to stop at zebra crossings 🙄
  10. The temporary traffic lights aren’t working, they’re all showing red! Hopefully Southern Gas will fix them soon.
  11. More slots available for anyone wanting to give a bike trailer a try. Ideal for one or two children under 6 years old. https://www.hernehillforum.org.uk/chariots-of-fun/
  12. Please report to the police if you haven’t already. If you see a crime in progress / about to happen it would be a 999 call. If reporting after the fact, online or 101.
  13. Please report to the police if you haven't already.
  14. New slots available just in time for Spring! https://www.hernehillforum.org.uk/chariots-of-fun/
  15. Sorry to hear of your experience. Not sure if you're already aware but Southwark's parking enforcement has a hotline, details below: For speedy enforcement action please contact the parking enforcement team directly on 0207 708 8587 and an officer will be sent to the location in 30mins. This number is manned between 6.30am to 10.30pm Monday to Saturday & 7am to 7pm on Sunday.
  16. Hopefully the police will take action for what exactly? A driving offence, assuming the car didn't just end up like that by itself.
  17. Hope no one was injured in this collision, sounds awful. Hopefully the police will take action.
  18. Notice they have a few 1 week slots available in case people would prefer that in the run up to Christmas
  19. I thought this may be of interest to families here. The 'Chariots of Fun' scheme is run by the Herne Hill Forum - 2 weeks free hire of a bike trailer, suitable for children under 6 years old. Offers a free bike check at BicycleNation on Norwood Road. https://www.hernehillforum.org.uk/chariots-of-fun/
  20. Report here, even better if you have a video https://www.met.police.uk/ro/report/rti/rti-beta-2.1/report-a-road-traffic-incident/
  21. I can't divorce local from national politics - too much personal pain from finding out what Boris and others in government were doing whilst at the same time I was questioning whether I could visit / hug my terminally ill father. A strong message needs to be sent to the Conservatives.
  22. That?s hardly fair, James set up this thread to engage with Goose Green residents and it seems to have been successful given the 40 pages! He?s the most responsive of the local councillors. Imagine he does more case work than most. sspringer Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Councillors getting involved in the forum again! > Must be an election coming coming soon.
  23. Another community e-cargo bike is now available for hire on Northcross Road - hosted by Rye Books.
  24. It is in the remit of the Foundation Coach service, who are paying the coach companies. What did they say when you complained? heartblock Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "I see a few mentions of the idling coaches from > the independent schools - this is run by the > Foundation Coach Service, maybe people should > email their Transport Manager to complain?" 25. East Dulwich has a community e-cargo bike for hire! It's outside Karavan Eco, Lordship Lane. Looking forward to giving it a try. The first two hours are free thanks to Southwark Council, then ?5 per hour. https://ourbike.co.uk/
