Scary isn't it Sean ... especially as the Crushes thread talks about how you picture people compared to how they really look or even what gender they are... Thank the lord you didn't have a crush on me then ::o LOL

Depends if you have a secret desire for schoolboys or not (and I guess if you are his teacher or not as well) :-S It is nice to see that you aren't upset by this act (even though it could be taken as 'sexual assult' by some people) and if it put a smile on your face afterwards then no it isn't wrong of you.

Ahem - in my best singing voice I would like to add (and cheese in ears is a good option now) "I crushed a Forumite and I liked it The taste of her cheery disappointment I crushed a Forumite just to try it I hope Dulwich Mum don't mind it It felt so wrong, it felt so right Don't mean I'm evil tonight I crushed a forumite and I liked it I liked it" B)

It has just occured to me reading this thread , are forumites attracted to the concept of "36c" or the "36" or the "c" therefore is it an attraction to the whole package, the chest measurement or the cup size ???? I am curious now about this concept and I think I will have to go down the pub to see if I can't get a firm grasp on the matter in hand. Anyone care to join me in this quest to find the answer that only "smarties" have ? ;-)

If they aren't then can I suggest that they talk to Eva at the Rye hotel, they are doing a singles night soon (date to be announced) and I am sure that it will provide an outlet for all this pent up frustration.

Azul Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm on the hormones myself Careful now, my mum had Hormone Cream as an addition to HRT and managed to overdose herself (she read 2 small dollops a day as 2 large dollops twice a day ...) as a result she became like an old tom cat, and actually prayed at night for someone to break in so that she could rape him.... very scary and has since been advised the correct dose... So dear Azul, don't over do it otherwise you won't just have PP's you will also have strange urges towards men breaking into your house at the same time ::o

As per your request, OI added I did think about a "GTI" category relating to size, type of car and other stuff but a spell checker kept on correcting it ... :-$

All this talk about size (and ladies it doesn't matter to most blokes despite what is said in the press) and also the increase in bust sizes over the years has lead me to a question from a male point of view Looking downwards, one wonders if there is also a 'size' scale for the men and their man boobs (or MOOBS) as I have heard them called in the Sunday times Style magazine. I would suggest (for argument's sake) OI - Over inflated PP - Perfect Pecs FP - Flat Pecs N - Normal SF - Slightly Flabby TB - Training Bra Required BB - Bigger then your Birds OD - Oh Dear C4 - Featured on a documentry about obese men ;-) And I think that Gentlemen, in most ladies eyes and in this context size really does matter and anything over 'N' is going to be too big !! (Edited to satisfy Moo's desire below)

Asset Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > is it not the excessive amount of credit available > to us a major part of the problem? People living > way beyond their means? Surely a rise in interest > rates would be better. It would mean people would > continue to save and put more of their money into > savings, thus funding the banks. > I understand that banks need to lend to each other > (or do they?) but as far as the rest of us go > wouldn't it be better to encourage judical > living? > > grammar edit An interesting point of view Asset, however there is a risk that if we encourage savings rather then allowing people a little flexability to spend, then small businesses will feel a drop in income/ customers, which may lead to more of them closing, resulting in more job losses which leads to less money in the economy to spend (spiraling downwards) Equally for every small business, there are suppliers, logistic companies, farmers and so on behind them, if small businesses close, it makes business harder for the supporting companies, and potentially leads to them closing down, job losses and the magnifying the downward spiral above. I agree that there needs to be the option for people to save, but there also needs to be people spending at the same time... and whilst the downwards movement of the interest rates is good for spending, it doesn't also help savers... I would say that there needs to be a two pronged attack from governments, lower interest rates (down by another 1/2 to 1 percent) and also government issued savings bonds (high return of interest) that allows people to put money into savings at a decent rate whilst also ensuring that the economy doesn't nose dive further with spiralling job losses because small businesses (and ultimatly bigger ones) aren't able to survive.... I guess that regardless of what package is put on the table now and over the next year, not everyone will be happy Personally, my mortgage rate tracks the interest rate so a lower rate means I have more money to spend or save so I am semi happy but as pointed out above, the package needs to cover spenders and savers to ensure we keep the country stable... got to say I was fascinated to see that safe sales have gone up by 40% recently....

WOW interest rates dropped today (almost globally) by half a percent An interesting reaction by the Bank of England (amongst others) and it will be interesting to see if this plus the economic packages offered to the fianancial sector is enough to stave of full blown recession (rather then the not quite a full recession we seem to be in now) Questions for debate 1. Is half a percent enough or should it be more over the next few months 2. Will it turn the lending market between financial institutions around again (i.e. stimulate lending) 3. Will it affect you or are you stuck with a company that doesn't respond to market changes (lucky people who have trackers one feels) 4. Will it encourage you to go out and spend again, or will small businesses see no tangable benifit from a package designed to help them a very interesting day today and one that opens up discussions that one feels that will only be verified over the next 6 months.

Sean A good point and well raised Can I draw people's attention to the following documents concerning the Peckham Area Action Plan "PAAP" (latest issue) that talks about potential for housing on the site of the proposed tram depot should it not go ahead. http://www.southwark.gov.uk/Uploads/FILE_37326.pdf (Page 6) http://www.southwark.gov.uk/Uploads/FILE_37327.pdf (Page 32 option B) It does mention other uses for the site as well as housing, however it is not as cut and dry as "no depot means a creative quarter". In response to PeckhamRose, the PTCMG agrees concerning the use of cars in Southwark, and we are currently working with partners regarding the issue of new parking costs at weekends and evenings in Peckham (already cited by businesses as driving customers away from the town centre) and I am sure that if you look at the documents above you will see what the PAAP has to offer in terms of the car parks in the town centre.
