  6. yeah i havent adopted the lend over yet. it looks less safe somehow. id rather be safe than aerodynamic. i think its going to be a few years before i will be using aero bars
  7. thanks for this PR. i too got 4 parties. none were bnp thou. i think its gonna be lib dems for me.
  8. i have a ridgeback hybrid. so its lightweight but i have decent tread on the wheels. road bike wheels scare me :)
  9. a horrible incident slater. i hope your son is not too shaken up. thanks on behalf of everyone who lives in the area for reporting it.
  10. horsebox, i looked on their website. the saturday ride is recommended for beginners and its just under 50km. starts at 9am they meet outside the Cafe St Germain on crystal palace parade
  11. cheers for that, i'll definitely be there next saturday.
  12. i was thinking of joining paragon too but i find the whole thing a bit intimidated. i always think you have to be pretty good before you join one of these groups.
  13. lol. well hopefully it will fall on a day off. looking forward to it
  14. has a date been sent. hope i'm not working i've missed the last 2
  15. Pearson if something has happened at the same place more than once then thats a pattern can work with. i would put money on it that if you told the local safer neighbourhood team the youths description they will know them. these kids stick out somewhat. give the old bill a chance before you condemn them to hell. if you dont report it you can hardly complain when it happens again.
  16. well i've got a few events coming up and i've never heard of that charity so i will consider that when choosing the next one. cheers
  17. I'm going to do the london triathlon in august. any one got any good fundraising ideas. i'll be doing it for NSPCC. i was thinking of a bake sale at work is easy enough. i dont work with nearly enough people to make a raffle work. i was thinking of approaching local businesses but i'm not sure if they'd go for it. any ideas? B)
  18. please please report it. like everyone has said he may be on cctv. if no one reports the police cant identify where there is a problem. i'm a police officer and when someone is hit with a brick, i would want to do something about it but unfortunately officers like me wont get a chance to help you and their future victims without the information. East Dulwich police station is often quiet, i've never had to wait to speak to someone. I know people that work on the Peckham Rye and Dulwich Safer Neighbourhood wards and they are both very friendly/approachable. The other option would be to call the police on 0300 123 1212 and they will send someone to the house to see you. Also might be an idea to see a doctor just to check you over. Take care, hope you're not to shaken up PS. I'm sure you already have but call the phone company and get them you cancel it.
  19. rather than use google to see which areas get the most reports, you will get better results by looking at the crime statistics on www.met.police.uk.
  20. I'm all signed up. 3 mile run from 11.45 on 21 March. I've never run that far before. All donations welcome on http://www.mysportrelief.com/mariongamba
  21. ah thats a shame. i dont fancy a costume doing 3 mile. i am about to enter now. i think its only ?5 to enter. if you really want maybe you could just enter again.
  22. never ever mock the swing-ometer ;-) i couldnt have an election without it
  23. i'll be unable to make this one. unfortunately i'm working late. have a good one
  24. It should be noted that not only are we losing 455 officers there has also been a freeze of any new officers coming in for at least 2 years. Another budget cut is only going to make things worse as the freeze was brought in before this announcement. Safer Neighbourhoods have a good relationship with the local area that officers responding to emergencies are unable to give. I have seen on this forum that East Dulwich safer neighbourhoods have worked well with you all. This personal attention is in danger with these cuts. Also, officers are already being sent out on their own. Everyone has an opinion on the safety of that and this is not the forum for which i wish to express my opinion on that.
  25. i would ignore it. they wont be able to issue to charge now.
