  1. Lost wedding ring in Brockwell park on Sunday August 27th, near the Lido. Would love it returned.
  2. Both my boys went - one from 6 months one from a year. Both were very happy. They are now 8 and 11 though so was some time ago. I recently met a mum who has since sent her 3rd and 4th child, and only had nice things to say about it and they always seem to be making improvements to the environment.
  3. So happy this is finally happening. Great space, best garden in ED and great potentai. Can't wait to see the new pub (hope it's family friendly)
  4. Also, I found the perceived wisdom of daily bedtime routine (bath, story, bed) for little ones to be a killer on little ones' skin. London water is hard and I just don't think it is good advice - babies don't need daily baths. When I changed to once/twice a week all skin problems cleared. Even now they are older (7 and 10) if they shower daily little problem areas will return and I scale back to 3 times/week. Not clinical advice, just my experience.
  5. I cycled down Railton Road in Herne Hill today and noticed a house with a bunch of bikes (10 or so) with a big For Sale sign outside. Its not far from the Half Moon ... might be worth a look
  6. As far as I am aware LA schools do not hold wait lists for years 1-6, nor does the LA. The wait list system applies to the entry points only, i.e. reception class. This does differ for academy-run schools like Dulwich Hamlets and free schools like Judith Kerr who organise their own admissions. When you call the school they can tell you their current availability only, which is why it does pay to call your preferred LA schools fairly regularly. The LA have an obligation to allocate you a school place within 6 weeks of applying for an in-year place, and you are allowed to name just one choice on the form, but if no place is available they will allocate you a place anywhere. If you have found availability at one of your preferred LA schools, it is much better to let the LA know that so they can call the school and confirm it. Confusing yes, but that's the way it is. Good luck.
  7. We are waiting for a year 3 place for Dulwich Hamlets junior school, and the wait list hasn't moved since April. If anyone has accepted a place, or knows someone who has, and know that they no longer need it, please can they inform the school so that we can get in. Thanks!
