  1. Hi there Has anyone got any feedback so far please? I know its early days for a very new school but I'd love to hear your views so far on the head, the teaching staff and the general 'feel' of the place. We're considering this for our son next year. Thanks
  2. Agree, seems totally pointless. Think I'll voice my opinions to some poor unexpecting member of staff next time i see one.
  3. Have they said they are going to restore the "every ten minutes-ish" service at some point?
  4. Many thanks. Shame they're doing this, just means the trains will be even more cramped!
  5. Thanks. I had assumed that was only relevant for last week whilst LB was shut.....obviously not.
  6. Train times between East Dulwich and London Bridge seem to have changed and also reduced in number. Any one know if these are permanent changes?
  7. Thinking of heading to the waverley tonight, anyone know if they are still doing those burgers?
  8. I'm no expert but i doubt it, think that's normally up to the landlord.
  9. Oh, looks like this thread has been moved to lounge as well now. From reading the landlords initial post on the other thread it sounds like its tied to Punch but that they've managed to retain a fair amount of freedom with regards to what they serve.
  10. Went again last night, the refurb has made a massive difference. Great to have such a good addition to the local area. As someone else posted in the lounge thread, also very refreshing for it not to be just another one of the intentikit corporate refurbs which you see in most other local pubs. They seem like nice people, so good luck to them.
  11. We've been a few times now and its great. The residents of Ivydale Road are very lucky with this one.
  12. We have an au pair / mother's help coming in July for one month only. I would like to offer her the opportunity to make some friends while she is here. She will be free evenings and weekends and may want someone to explore London with. If anyone else has an au pair who might be interested in meeting ours, please let me know. She is a 19 year old French girl.
  13. Has anyone got any views on the new manager yet? Would be interested to hear. Thanks.
  14. Thanks for the tips. Think we'll take a flask of fresh milk and some emergency formula. Urgh, sooooooo much hand luggage!
  15. We have the pleasure of an 11 hour flight with a 1 year old and a 2 year old next week. Does anyone know if BA provides full fat milk (in serious quantities) for babies' bottles? Any other tips gratefully received too! Thanks
  16. Apparently there was a burglary on crystal palace road and they jumped over the garden fence on to ulverscroft (down the side passage half way down the road).
  17. Hi there I'm selling some cloth nappies. My son is super skinny and the world's worst fidget so we only used them for a couple of months. Please get in touch if you are interested. Best wishes Kimberley
  18. We're looking for a new player to join our team which plays in a league on Monday nights up at JAGS. We're all in our late 20's/early 30's and fairly fit. We like to have a good laugh but at the same time play at a descent level and win as many games as possible. Send me a message if you're interested. Cheers
  19. Which sainsburys? DKH or LL?
  20. Hi all Glad everyone is doing so well and sorry I missed the last get-together too. Evenings and weekends are trickier for me but I'm very keen for the day-time park action later this month. Count me in. I may even bring my dog to join in the proceedings (outside the cafe of course!). Sarah, Ruth etc, I feel your pain. I also have PGP and the physio at King's basically just gave me crutches (but am also being stubborn) and a belt and told me there is nothing more she can do. I have just over 7 weeks to go so I'm just going to have to suck it up and get on with it, I think. Taking regular paracetamol now, which I wanted to avoid, but its not for long I guess. Anyway, looking forward to seeing some of you in the park. Kimberley x
  21. Does anyone want tomato plants in exchange for something flowering/pretty (e.g. bedding plants - petunias, impatiens etc)? I also have brussel sprout plants ready for planting.
  22. Apparently the going rate for childminding around here is ?50-60 per day inclusive of food, nappies etc. But if there are any mums out there who know any different, please correct me!
  23. This will exist soon! I am planning on setting up such a business is 6-9 months' time (not much use to those of you who need it now, I appreciate). Just keeping it really small scale, in my own home. I am retraining as a childminder (expecting my own baby in July) and am going to hopefully take on 2-3 children on a permanent part-time basis and the rest of the time I will offer ad hoc care for freelancers' children. Any suggestions for how to make this a success welcome!
  24. I'll be there on the 8th and can't wait! My man might come along for a wee while, eat some cake and then b*gger off to find someone to play football with, knowing him. Not sure he'll know where to look with all those preggy bellies! Wish we could all bring wine. Is anyone else missing it dreadfully? I seem to want it more now I'm pregnant than I ever did! Likewise with gooey cheese, prawns, pints of lager, raw fish - basically anything I'm not allowed, I WANT! Don't understand all those people who say they've gone off these things as their body's way of protecting itself during pregnancy... Peggy - best of luck to you over the coming weeks. Can't believe you're nearly there! So exciting. You will let us know when Mini-Peggy arrives, won't you? Kimberley (aka Billy - long story, don't ask!)
  25. Hi everyone - I'm new to this thread and due on 25th July. I'm gutted I missed the 2nd April meet-up and actually am not around on the 7th May but could do the 8th if the date were to change. Just keep us posted on this thread as to which one you decide on. Peckham Rye park is my favourite. I have a dog and walk there daily (although back ache seems to be cutting my walks shorter and shorter these days). Speaking of back ache, I'd LOVE to get involved with a pilates group, in someone's house or in a park. I've been doing some lessons in the Peckham Pulse on a wednesday and they are really good but I keep missing them because of other plans. I was also told the other day that my baby is big (but from 'feel' not from scan). Oh well, let's hope he/she comes a bit early then! Does anyone else feel like thier baby is 'knocking' from the inside of the tummy at this stage? Apparently its lying width-ways, which is very uncomfortable at times but guess it must be comfy for bubs! Congratulations everyone and I hope we all get to meet some day. Kimberley xx
