  1. because of other nearby CPZ's that have started recently the Dog Kennel hill area has sadly becone very difficult to park in and we will have to go to residents parking now too.
  2. I'd be really sad if Chener closes. My favourite book shop. I suppose John is allowed to retire though!?
  3. Yes do try cycling. I restarted cycling about 20 years ago and cycled to islington. I am now retired (at 67) but despite arthritis in knees i love to cycle. The separated cycle lanes are growing in number and there is a very good cycle route circling the elephant and castle. One of the quietest bridges is Southwark (good for St Paul's) with a separate cycle bit. The new lower Thames Street cycle lanes are already part useable and are a joy to use! Do see if you can get hold of the TFL cycle maps they are very good for quiet routes etc. Also join London Cycling campaign and get free third party insurance too, the local Southawark group hold regular led rides on some Saturdays which is great for anxious starters. My bike is still the same bike, costing ?250. It is a bit heavy but reliable, so you can see how cheap cycling can be. And of course healthier despite general pollution.
  4. I learnt recently at Dulwich leisure centre that Fusion have lost the contract and another company are taking over.
  5. Give Lidl a try, (as mentioned earlier) delicious and only 29p so can eat several......
  6. camberwell , grove hill road out too. Now on!

Happened to my husband at one time, when our children were small, and our lives were made so miserable that we eventually went out as a family but without him. > ----- > > I don't totally agree edcam, if someone has > chosen > > to pursue a career in the public eye then they > > have to expect a certain amount of this kind of > > thing (although clearly there are limits). > > > > Although I agree with what maxxi said, it's > really > > not particularly surprising that the odd > celebrity > > pops up, even one as apparently high calibre as > > this.
  8. the so called research that appeared to show there was a link with autism has been shown to be rubbish , by more studies and scrutiny of the original conclusion but unfortunately the idea has remained and been circulated. this has caused many parents to refuse the mmr and there have been serious outbreaks of measles which is a serious and damaging disease. Speak to you GP about your fears so that you can be reassured.
  9. I love those cottages , they have a great feel about them. If you need more space why not try to purchase the building supply place further up the road adjacent to the ex- garden centre?
  10. Great picture
  11. Try the falafel place next to artichoke place. Excellent. I love the enormous falafel sandwich only ?3
  12. I have lived in the north end of Ivanhoe road for over 30 years and it is very friendly and great place to live. The houses get sun from the back in the morning as it is east and the front in the afternoon (west). Or vice-versa on the other side of the road. The garden gets lots of sun, obviously it depends on whether you have big fences trees etc.
  13. also yesterday they had to close Peckham Rye Station as water was cascading down the stairs. Very bad at my home too, but avoided a flood
  14. Appropriate could be a mental health team.
  15. Clearly this person is distresed, perhaps you should call the police who would find appropriate help.
