  1. You?re absolutely right. I?ve just checked Google Street View (thanks @Moovart don?t know why I didn?t think of that!) and there?s no parking there before 10:00. That?ll teach me to try and be the early bird for once in my life. Thanks for all the help.
  2. I wonder if anyone can help me? I have received a PCN today for parking in a bus Lane while taking my dog to the vet. As far as I knew I had parked in one of the 30 minute bays. It was just outside the coop. Is anyone nearby that could take a look for me? I can see there?s a bus lane between Ashbourne Grove and the crossing but then I thought it became parking bays. I certainly used to park here but I don?t live in the area anymore and perhaps things have changed. I?d really appreciate any help as I?d rather not do a 90 minute round?trip to check it out.
  3. Just to be clear, let's not pretend that excessive aircraft noise is caused by everyone on this tiny island flying all over the world (although many of us do), it's about Heathrow being the world's third busiest airport due to it being Europe's major hub. That is what the expansion plans are about: making more money and keeping business away from Schiphol and Frankfurt who are threatening to take some of that precious business away. The rights and wrongs of that are a whole other issue but this is not a simple case of people in London take flights and that's why a flight lands or takes off every 45 seconds at Heathrow.
  4. I realise the data suggests nothing has changed but I've lived in Se21 for three and a half years and like others on here I've noticed a marked increase in flight noise over the last few months - this morning was a particular low as I was awoken when the first planes came over. I used to live in Windsor and when I moved here I noticed how much quieter it was. But lately the roar of the planes seems to have gotten much worse. At first I thought it was down to weather conditions/cloud cover effecting the way the noise travels but I have realised that the weather seems to make no difference. I actually came onto the forum looking for discussions on this issue and despite what the data seems to "prove" I am somewhat gratified to see I'm not the only person noticing more noise.
