I can recommend Ana, 07508071458

Another recommendation here for Aaron. He did a very thorough job, put in a full day and cleaned up after himself. Five stars from Ray Coman (Coman&Co accountants)

In June, Southwark installed temporary planters at the end of Carlton Avenue, blocking one of the busiest road in Dulwich https://dulwichvillagestreetspace.commonplace.is/ I am baffled as to the reason that the council would close a road and under which delegated authority a road can be closed. I am not really up on the politics of it. Perhaps someone can enlighten me. Its seems only about a year ago a huge amount of time was spent on street furniture at that junction. Pardon my ignorance and naivety

OK. My original idea was about trying to regenerate business in the area by licensing what is obviously a demand. But I can see that my agenda is not openly supported Thanks for your feedback.

I wondered if anyone had attended an event like these. Are they being held because: Housing estates have inadequate communal outdoor areas; or because doing something a bit wrong adds to the buzz of the party? If an event causes an accident to a passer by, (such a gazebo getting blown over by the wind or a hot coals getting tipped over by a drunken gatecrasher) who holds public liability insurance?
-
It is also fine by me, provided the events are somehow controlled from becoming a nuisance (keep in mind that there is no door security as such.) Also that there is no littler caused, (let's say that can also be controlled even though there are no cleaners.) My point was less about the park events and more about lockdown. I guess you have responded that the events are outdoors, so the health is not really the issue I imagined. I seem to have been outvoted here, so perhaps the licensing laws do need relaxation. It occurred to me that unscheduled park events could get out of hand and lead to incidence of crime. I will just jog on
-
I have just come back from a late night jog and there were at least two gatherings in the park of more than 20 people. These includes gazebos, barbecues and outdoor music. How are the councils and mayor allowing these events to run while forcing nightclubs, casinos and other late night venues to remain closed. It is not fair to the local economy

The Upland Road/ Hindmans Road area is no longer cordoned off.

I was in all day May 23rd. Surprised I didn't hear it getting demolished
-
Just came back from a jog and suddenly they had just demolished it. I asked the Chinese restaurant guy when it happened. Only time I think I ever been to that particular takeaway. He said it was two years ago. Relieved to read that it happened more like two weeks ago. Felt like I was the crazy one for a moment there

Looking for registered business address in Dulwich
Coman replied to golamp's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thank you for mentioning us and our service. I should however point out that: Registered office is for Companies House and HMRC purposes. If you appoint us to deal with tax communications on your behalf then the registered office is useful for this. The facility is only for limited companies, not sole traders We would not accept other business communications. Our clients cannot hold themselves out as trading from this address. I would advise that you are probably looking for a mail forwarding service, or as the next step up a virtual office such as Regus. -

In case the plans get shelved, perhaps go ahead with just the dance studio? Or a yearly al fresco dance event. Would this be part of a separate application to Lambeth?

please talk me through the elephant and castle chaos?
Coman replied to Huggers's topic in The Lounge
I have been using Elephant & Castle increasingly as part of my journey, since the works at London Bridge have been causing delays and cancellations to the train service from East Dulwich. I have timed the bus journey from the Heygate Street bus stop to the Elephant and Castle stop. On a reasonable day it can take 6 and half minutes on a bad day over 12 minutes. This is mainly because of the lights, just after the railway bridge. I find it quicker to walk from the Heygate Street bus stop. Congestion Southbound along the Walworth Road is rarely a problem off-peak. -
There are various issues. Firstly there is potential capital gains tax on transfer of the property. This would be payable even though there were no sale proceeds. There is an instalment arrangement which could be arranged with HMRC for the payment of capital gains tax. If you are not receiving any payment for transferring the property, then there would probably not be any stamp duty implications, although this is more the domain of a solicitor. Re-arrangement of mortgage might be regarded as a consideration received for transfer of property to the company. The main issue would be how to extract profits without suffering income tax. If profits are about ?10,000 a year or less than probably the profits could be paid out in salary. For higher amounts, the profits would be subject to dividend tax and this could be quite high. Nonetheless, the first ?5,000 of dividend would be tax free. A better saving than current for a higher rate taxpayer. It is not a complete non-starter but it would not suit all situations. It could work in the sort term, but there is no guessing how the Treasury would react if companies because widespread. It could end up expensive trying to get the buy to let out of the company again.
