Mr Yellow called me into the lounge and tried to Sky+ rewind a nosy neighbour incident.

James84, how awful. I'm truly sorry to hear about this. My house in Crawthew Grove was burgled 7 years ago. They'd gained entry through the back of the house no more than 20 mins after we'd packed the car for our xmas hols - obviously watching our every move. Fortunately, although they ripped open our patio doors, they didn't manage to steal a thing. Our alarm screamed at them at an earpiercing, blood-letting volume and they scarpered. As the alarm was connected to police central station, the police were on the scene within minutes. As some people have already mentioned, often this type of scumbag will return, especially if they see packaging for replacement goods. They'll think twice if they see that you've had an alarm installed. You could pay around ?20 per month service charge, plus the initial installation fee, but I think this pays for itself with peace of mind. I remember that sickening feeling that strangers had broken into my home. Thankfully, an experience we haven't suffered since. Our alarm was fitted and is serviced by British Gas. I really hope you guys recover from this soon.

I mistook athlete's foot cream for thrush cream. Bet you wish your girlfriend was hot like me...

The jeweller's shop was where Celestial is now, with the lovely double-fronted curved-glass frontage to display the not-so-classy toot. I used to pop in whenever I needed a new battery for my watch. Health Matters was a beauty salon until, maybe, 98. It was run by the lovely Malachi. Then it briefly became an ill-fated nail salon. No-one has mentioned the barber shop and Western Union money transfer place by the roundabout, possibly where Sugar is now? Was it Geoff's video shop before that? Janice Hendrickson used to have a room at the back of the ladies' hair salon, where Roullier White is now. From there she opened her own massage and beauty salon in Upland Road. Recently, she moved her business to Sydenham.

Happy New Year Budur! It was a pleasure. Meeting you made my day! Thank you for the lovely gift. Good luck with your return to work.

Oh, nothing sinister. They somehow dropped it and it just happened to roll under my car.

I'm thrilled to say that the Armani bag has been returned to a very grateful and, I must say, delightful owner. Hurrah for community forums! I know the owner had resigned herself to losing the bag forever, thinking whoever found it would have kept the contents - brand new, with labels and in my size! I wanted to redress the balance, do the right thing and hopefully restore a little faith in community spirit. There are good people out there, folks. Happy New Year to y'all.

Yes, I have. I thought I'd try the www + ED community too.

Hello people, On Tues 29th, I found an Emporio Armani bag discarded - or possibly hidden to be claimed later - beneath my car in Melbourne Grove. If you have lost such a bag and can tell me the entire contents within, I can repatriate them with the rightful owner. No guessing you naughty boys and girls. I must have an exact description. Good luck.
