  1. Belated season's greetings one and all from me and everyone in Clonakilty, West Cork, Ireland!! Hope everyone on the EDF has a wonderful new year. All the best! Love you all so much.
  2. 'Are we humans or are we dancers?' by the Killers. Great first album but the second one 'Sam's Town' was drivel.
  3. Mixed kebab from Hisar every time for me. i think it's ace, perfectly seasoned and I prefer the three sauces in the little pots. Really nice restaurant and friendly staff.
  4. There was filming on Lordship Lane on Monday night, a crew had completely taken over Dulwich Tandoori and the French House. I think I clocked Chris O' Dowd (IT crowd). Anyone get any info..?

    railings

Does anyone know why the railings outside the dog kennel hill estate have been moved? It looks like the brickwork that they were attached to has been re-built, but I do hope the original railings are put back. It always makes me smile when I walk past them! They're not just ordinary boring railings as discussed previously on a different thread.
  6. Why isn't Dulwich Picturehouse showing the new Alien film until next week even though it's out today?
  7. a friend of mine who is Kurdish, actually suggested that the chemical attack may not have been the work of the assad regime at all. the regime has the rebels well on the back foot so such an attack would be unlikely. this was also the view taken by peter ford the former British ambassador to Syria in an interview on bbc breakfast recently.
  8. What is the point of MPs voting against triggering article 50? It has to happen. I understand certain areas and constituencies were pro-remain but I think MPs need to look at the bigger picture and realise it was a nationwide referendum and the result was to leave. I voted to remain but we should stop messing about now and just trigger it so we can actually start negotiations.
  9. I visited the village of Pluckley a while back. I thoroughly recommend no one bothers to do the same. Does a single pub and a newsagents really constitute a village? I think not. It's supposedly Britains' most haunted village. Avoid.
  10. obviously i'm in a minority in finding this interesting then. the railings used to be stretchers and date from world war 2.
  11. slightly deviating off topic, but due to the damage associated with V1 & V2 bombs and post war re-building, has anyone noticed something very interesting about many of the railings that surround the estates of dulwich? in particular the one opposite st. francis' park (can't remember the name). specifically what did they used to be prior to becoming railings? this was on the bbc lunch time news a while ago and i found it really interesting!
  12. I thought Nobel prizes were awarded for a particular contribution to literature/science/peace such as a landmark discovery or negotiation of a treaty? Dylan's award seems to be for his whole lifetimes work which is obviously impressive, but doesn't seem to fit into the Nobel literature category. In my opinion.
  13. No 'off' button..?
  14. there's a laundry room in my building shared by all who live there. when i do a wash i am considerate to take out my clothes exactly when the wash cycle has finished thereby not delaying others. it proper fecks me off however when others are not as considerate and leave their clothes well past the finish time. i often feel like removing the clothes but never do. should i though..? i know this is pedantic advice please
  15. Something's clearly been said behind the scenes. Cameron must be sick as a pig.
  16. boilers in bedrooms sounds worrying. i wouldn't fancy it even if it was new or recently serviced. think you mean carbon monoxide incidentally, sorry to be pedant.
  17. I've never seen 'breaking bad' or 'game of thrones'. You should definitely watch 'Withnail & I' Nigello.
  18. Put a couple of tea bags in your trainers or shoes overnight. Nice and fresh the next morning. It works, I've tried it!
  19. Franklins' wood fired chicks certainly look good although at ?15 a bird I'd rather eat roadkill.

    Jason Bourne

The scenes filmed in waterloo station in the bourne ultimatum, were superb. this film (the third) is highly recommended sidhue.
  21. 1996 was a great year all round for me. It was when I first started to really appreciate football, particularly internationals and I went camping for the first time with my mates during a gloriously hot summer.
  22. why would they film a garnier nutrisse ad in a bakery?
  23. I saw what looked like a film set been unloaded on Zenoria street this morning, outside the Brickhouse. Any ideas what's being shot? I couldn't ask as was on a bus.
  24. Sadiq Khan would 've made a good Labour leader. He might be ruing becoming mayor now...
