I think a 4 year old would be happy there too, it's a very big space. Also it's light and airy as the ceilings are so high and lots of windows. There are also pop up goals to kick balls in and trampolines etc.
  2. Hi, I just thought I'd share my new find. I visited the Crystal Palace Sports centre today and they have a Toddler World playgroup from Monday to Thursday, starting at 10am. It costs ?3.85 for non-members. It reminds me quite alot of the Baby Gym that used to be at Camberwell leisure centre, except that it is full of very new, clean equipment and musical instruments. The staff were really friendly and there was lots to do for little one. The place was REALLY quiet, there were only 3 children playing, and would have been more fun had there been more people. So if you're looking for somewhere new to go, I would definitely recommend it. There is also a cafe there, which is ok - not many high chairs though.

  6. I used to live on Tintagel Crescent and loved it. It was great for transport into London and to be close to the pubs, restaurants and shops. The neighbours were lovely and we got to know most of the people living closest to us, a real community. It did used to get very noisy at night sometimes, with the police and ambulance sirens at the roundabout, and parking was a nightmare. Also one other thing was the amount of rubbish that would get kicked along the street from outside the charity shop. but this might have improved now. After having my son, the house suddenly felt very small, so we felt it was time to move on, but I still miss our lovely house and neighbours.
  7. My son was really into Thomas from about 18 months to 3 years-ish, he then became totally obsessed with Dinosaurs and still is. He's 6 now, and I see no signs of it ending just yet. Thankfully my 2 year old is now interested in Thomas, so at least alot of it's getting recycled :))
  8. sorry accidentally posted in wrong area
  9. I recently got this in black, as a birthday gift. It's great! I feel so much more organised now. It has straps so you can clip it on to the buggy really easily too.
  10. Despite my name Sue, I sometimes like to take a risk and venture outside SE22. ;-)
  11. I drove past Norwood park playground the other day (Salters Hill) and they seem to be doing alot of work there. Does anyone have any idea what they are doing? I hope it will be something like a water park similar to Sydenham Wells.
  12. Crystal palace One O'clock club is very good and opens at 9.30am. They have a big outdoor area too.
  13. May I ask, could you describe the bloke who sprayed the aerosol please? The reason I ask is that I have often encountered rude, and abrupt behaviour in the MIND shop and am wondering if it's the same person. I stopped going in there a while ago because of it. Thanks.

Especially when it's such unusual timings and such a long road too. It's seems a little deceitful in my opinion. Maybe that's the very point of it... I worked out that they must have made at the least ?2500 yesterday, as the road was packed with cars on yellow lines
  15. Thanks. I will appeal it. But I don't think I'll have much luck. I've just read this from the bromley website "Single yellow lines indicate that a waiting restriction is in force. The times of restriction differ depending on the location. It is important to read the restriction times on the small yellow plates in the immediate vicinity. However, in Controlled Parking Zones there are normally no individual small plates and the restriction times are shown on large signs at the entry to the zone." That's all very well, but the only people who know this, will be the people who've looked it up after getting a ticket. What's the point of that?
  16. As if taking my son to a party at Gambados isn't enough punishment, I also got a parking ticket today. :'( The car park was full, so I had to park on the road. Managed to find a space on a single yellow line (where everyone else had also parked) I looked around for any little yellow signs that one usually finds by the road, and couldn't find any. But to be honest, I assumed that it was absolutely fine to park on a single yellow line on Sundays. Has anyone else had a ticket on Copers Cope Road? And did they manage to appeal it? To say I'm furious is an understatement. Fair enough if there had been clear signs, I would except it - I wouldn't like it, but I'd except it -but there weren't. Any advice please Xx
  17. Just wanted to say thanks you for this thread. :) My hands have been so sore and cracked this winter and no amount, or brand of hand cream was working. Thanks to the posts on here, I have managed to sort it out, by regularly rubbing my hands with emulsifying ointment (which is similar to aqueous cream) and wearing rubber gloves whilst washing up. My hands are so much better now. Xx

  20. We had a power cut in the middle of the night last night. Everything was off. The lights had been flickering th eevening before. I'm on Upland Road. Anyone else notice it?

It's no ED, but there's a great place on the outskirts of bromley. http://www.cakecraftshop.co.uk/shop/2/ Thought you might like to know. :)
  22. a ski lift at Dawson's heights, I'm knackered from all the climbing involved in sledging down the hill! ;-)
  23. Thank you EDmummy. Xx I just hope my 5 year old doesn't get it now too! Mind you, it might keep him quiet for a few days ;-) I think the worst thing is that he can't suck his thumb, so finds it difficult to settle. He's always got his thumb in his mouth so I can only imagine how bereft he must be without it.
  24. Thank you so much for this information. I think he may well have HFM, I checked his hand and feet and there seem to be a few little spots. He also has a blister inside his lip. He hasn't had any fever though so far. I had actually started to think he may have burnt his mouth on some hot food yesterday because I couldn't work out what it was. But this all makes sense now. He's been an absolute nightmare today, bless him, he's been beside himself with discomfort and has hardly eaten anything. Calpol seems to be helping though. Thank you thank you. I love this forum!
  25. MY 17 month old has been REALLY grumpy. He was up half the night last night and is dribbling constantly, so had assumed that the last of his teeth are coming through. But then I noticed a large white patch on the front of his tongue, and his bottom lip looks swollen. It must be sore because he's so miserable, won't suck his thumb, and cries when he takes a sip of water from a sippy cup. I've never seen anything like it before, does anyone know what it might be please? Typically these things always spring up on a weekend when there are no doctors to see. I'm waiting for a pharmacy to open, but wondered if anyone else has experienced this before. I have given him some live yoghurt in case it's thrush, but don't know what else to do.
