  2. We took our boys last August and stayed in a Marriot hotel near by. For 2 adults and 2 children, one night B&B in a hotel (with a pool) and 2 days entry into the park was ?187. I thought that was pretty good. It was great to unwind after a day at the park by going swimming. (The hotel has a playground too) We all had a lot of fun, and it was good to go for 2 days so we didn't feel rushed, or miss anything. If you book through Quidco you get 7.6% cashback, which is better than nothing. :)
  3. Blimey! I just got my yellow belt and thought that was an achievement. Well done Daniel! :))
  4. Poor bunny's looking very sad. :'(
  5. Thank you nunheadmum. I think I will take him to the doctors as I checked the rash today and it's all over his body, little red spots. Maybe he has some sort of virus that only comes out at night. Best to get it checked though. Many thanks for your reply.
  6. Just repeating this thread in here, for any parents that don't visit ED gossip. I found a Soft toy bunny rabbit on Upland Road this morning. Maybe dropped on school run? It was left on my wall, so took it in for safe keeping. Hope to reunite with owner. pm me if you think it's yours/your little one's. Xx

  8. Can anyone tell me if it's normal for 6 -7 year old boys to sweat alot at night? Although he was quite ill over Christmas, my son appears to be well now, and has been for a quite a few weeks. In the last 3 or 4 nights, when I check on him around 10pm-ish, his hair is soaking wet with sweat. He doesn't feel overly hot to touch though. I've also noticed he has a slight bumpy rash under his skin, but it doesn't seem to bother him. Has anyone else experienced this with their child? Many thanks
  9. Buds is very good. They follow a curriculum for children over three years old. It's a lovely place too, the staff are very warm and friendly, and they have a nice outdoor area.
  10. I'm sorry to hear you got a ticket. :'( It always feels horrible and unjust, no matter what the circumstances, and especially at Christmas time when you'd think people might be a little more good natured.
  11. I heard that the one in the Bromley Glades is meant to be good this year. I haven't been yet though. Would be interested to know if anyone has.

  13. ... what's the name of the photographer/website, who took the photo across London from Dawson's Heights? He sells his canvases on Northcross Road sometimes. Sorry to post twice, I really need to find out. :-$ Thanks
  14. The bread of life cafe at the church on barry road is bf friendly. has lots of toys for babies and toddlers too.
  15. Quadcore? I've heard of this, but have no idea what it means. When I bought my last pc, Pentium 4 was what I had to look for. Is Quadcore the new Pentium 4?? :-$
  16. Thanks Tog-in-sox, I'm not sure about budget, as I don't know what I can get for my money, but I'm guessing around ?1000/1500. I'd prefer to buy new. I'm a hair and make-up artist so my website needs a decent gallery, but I'm not fussed about having flash etc. I'm fairly satisfied with my current website apart form the gallery. I'd like to upgrade everything. The screen I have is fine, but it would be nice to upgrade all, if the budget allows. Generally the pc will be used for internet access, family use, downloading photos etc, editting the odd short video, nothing too special. The only other thing would be my website. What are the best/easiest web building programmes out there now? I have no idea. All I know is dreamweaver and frontpage. I appreciate your help here. It's such a mindfield!
  17. Usually the last set of molars come at about 2 ish. They were definitely the worst for my boys and took ages. have you checked right at the back?
  18. Has anyone ever been to Kidspace adventure in Croydon? Just wondering if it's worth taking my 2 1/2 years old or is it better for older ones? Thanks
  19. You could use wholewheat tortilla wraps instead of bread sandwiches, for a change. I tried this and my boys loved it. Tuna and sweetcorn went down well.
  20. Thank you everyone for your helpful replies. What I will be needing it for is mainly standard stuff to be honest, but I do want to build a new website soon too, as my current one has been built on Microsoft Frontpage, which is now very out of date. I think logically and financially it makes more sense to get another PC. Now all I have to do is work out which one to get and what specs I need.... :-S Any more words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated! :))
  21. Has this been discussed before? If so, sorry, but I couldn't find anything in the search. I have a PC at the moment that is about 8 years old, crashes all the time and is mind numbingly slow at times. So I'm looking for something new. My question is, do I buy a MAC, or stick to the devil I know and get another PC? I have heard so many conflicting views that I really cannot make up my mind what to do. I love the idea of having a shiny new MAC, but am worried that I won't be able to access half my old files and will find the whole change too confusing (as you may have guessed I am not much of a whizz with a computer :-$) Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  22. millsa Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > has anyone been to Wavelengths Leisure Centre in > deptfort? any good for toddlers? The pool itself is very nice. But when I went, I was very annoyed when they closed the pool for half an hour and kicked everyone out, only 20 minutes after we'd got in. No one mentioned this when we were paying, and there seemed no explanation either. I'm assuming health and safety reasons :X Apparently they did the same thing at Peckham Pulse yesterday when my husband took my son. Does anyone know why they have to close the pool in the middle of the day? I never remember this happening before. You could try Battersea Latchmere, but it does get very busy, and you have to take a padlock for the locker, or buy one at reception. Can't wait for Dulwich pool to open next week!
  23. How about a silver cake candle holder? She could use it every year on her cake as the centre holder. I had one made for my Niece - Daisy, in the shape of a Daisy flower, but the one in the link is pretty.
  24. Super Kids Swim school is very good. They hold classes at St Thomas the Apostle School in Nunhead, and several other places too, I think. Justine is an excellent teacher. Contact Margaret Rick Telephone: 020 8651 2002 email: mrick@superkids.eclipse.co.uk Edited to say, I've just found this on Mumsnet; http://www.netmums.com/listings/PLACES/bromley/143/Superkids_Swimming_School//90133259/
  25. There is a car park at the venue. It's in the main sports bit. As you go through the barrier, go straight ahead, past the tennis(?) courts on the left, it's at the back. Hope that makes sense, they will direct you at reception anyway.
